Can anybody tell me why we stopped to get chilled in parks, but wouldn't pull into 24hr-Mucky's for (nasty) coffee on-the-go?
:)
The fat thing is true. Fat molecules have been observed under a scanning electron microscope hunting down memory particles and eating them.

Good to see y'all. I think for future rides we should have name badges; there are a lot folk that I may have inadvertently blanked, if so, sorry.
The dude that helped Slaytanic- I want my rubber gloves back!
If you want them back they're in the bin where he crashed, feel free to go grab them, they're in the plastic bag with a whole bunch of blood. But barring that I'll bring you a new set next ride. I've now bought some to carry around in my kit. I did think of that at the beginning of the night but didn't have any time to go buy any.

Thanks to everyone who organised this. So fun!
I got hit by a limo, had a puncture (fastest tube change ever!), and had an epic sideways beer fail! The sprint to Kew was hella good...
Thanks to the dude with the front aerospoke and tonite cap who cleverly had a pump...

well, i safely got all the way back to oxford.
got off the train, got hit by a minicab, concussed and fucked left leg (due to keys in the pocket)
no riding for a bit I think. Just left the hospital (which becuase I work there meant 0 waiting time!)
Bikes fine, not even a scratch- my head, leg, and elbow.
yay!Shit man that sucks some major ass. Heal fast and try not to bleed on your bike. It won't go so well with the tartan. I'll keep an eye out for some pants in that color though.

you've got my phone?!!!!! That's amazing!! Holyshit! That's made my crap aching day. Where you based? Give us a message
Good job with the phone. We had a look for that thing after you got taken away. We figured someone had buggered off with it. Apparently you were on the phone when you got hit. Silly boy.

IRO is right, that was me and eyebrows. That was a very upsetting ride to nowhere. Ended up getting a frozen prawn curry from my local costcutter. Woo! It was nasty but fulfilling :)

Spaghetti hoops: Heal fast mate. Hope you're feeling OK, it's hard to deal with the regret of crashing I think. Smoke herb for pain!
Eyebrows: back luck on crashing too. Hope you're mending.
Davetanic: bad luck kidda.
Everyone else who was nice and friendly: thanks for a lovely ride.
I lost everyone all bloody night. It was too big for me. Nice to meet some new people though.
Hippy shall we just forget it!? I'm a pratt for not getting that off yer.
I was really happy to see The Ladyboy when I got to Picadilly Circus on my burn back (how did I lose that pack coming up to Kensington!? FFS I 'm retarded), I'd just about had enough of bloomin' losing people! Thanks for the company Ray.
Shoulda known there'd be bagel posse. I went home and had a wank to bring my genitals back out from inside me.

A load of us (10 > 15) were waiting on Vauxhall bridge for almost 30 minutes whilst you all diverted to Trafalgar Sq. We didn't know! You bastards.
Traffic lights (with fast moving traffic) had cut the pack into groups, and when we saw the front lot turn right up towards Downing St we just figured you were all plonkers for not knowing that you turn left to get to the next bridge, that you'd figure it out, or that you were all dead set on going back to do Hungerford Bridge. It would have been nice if detours like that were communicated, the 10+ included some great people, and it was nice to stop and chat, but we got cold waiting for you all to catch up again.
Has this all got too big? The ride as one pack thing? We could declare in advance any detours, and just let people ride at their own pace and space. This would reduce a lot of the danger as a hell of a lot of accidents did occur, and would keep people moving and not waiting around at places.
There's nothing wrong with 150 people starting as one group, but 150 people waiting for a puncture to be repaired is plain daft. Especially as this is the bridges route, it's not like anyone is going to get lost... just follow the river. I'd understand if we were going to Winchester and needed to stay together for navigation and safety, but on a known route with some narrow areas splitting up would probably be better for navigation and safety.

Dave, I agree with you but that is why I put this up a few days prior to the ride and updated the first post:
Specifically :::
Get other peoples mobile numbers
You can collect these in either the numbers thread or at the beginning of the ride, worth having in case you get lost off the back(or front).Take a few minutes to check out the route
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2372909
We are crossing all of the bridges from Tower Bridge to Kew, not necessarily by the most direct route.
This will be helpful if you plan to leave early or if you get separated you can get back on to the ride by skipping a bridge.Shaping up to be a good ride with good weather.
A few things to read before you go:
**
Check over your bike
Make sure it is roadworthy**
-Check your tyres for wear and glass/flints/sharp objects
-Pump up the tyres(correctly inflated tyres puncture less)
-Check your lights and batteries
-Check for loose bolts
-Oil the chain
If you are not mechanically competent, get a friend to help you.
You have 3 full days to check over your machine.** Prepare for self-sufficiency **
-Bring a spare tube and tube changing tools
-Bring spare batteries
-Bring warm clothes, it is a night ride
-Bring a rainjacket
-Bring a Fully Charged Mobile
-Bring a mapbook** Help out, sound off about hazards and if people have been dropped of the back**
Usually if we are riding the first person over a nasty bump or hidden grate, sudden drop, glass, whatever will let those immediately following them now about it by shouting or pointing.
I will shout my loudest if I come across an imminent hazard but with over a hundred people, my voice, loud as it is doesn't carry all the way to the back.Last docks ride we had some people ride into curbs that they didn't see because of the bikes in front of them.
So if you hear about it from the front, pass it back.
Conversely if you see people being dropped off the back, at the lights or because they are slow or having some mechanical difficulties, pass it forward so the people leading the ride know and can take steps to either wait up, slow down or go back and help them out.

As with all forum rides we will endeavour to help out any stricken rider with their punctures and mechanical problems but on a large ride this might be difficult.
Do not bring arcane or speciality equipment that needs non standard tools or esoteric knowledge in order to sort out failures and malfunctions.
Of course if you can change a 650 tub in complete darkness in under ten minutes and have all the tools and glues, be my guest. We will be leaving from the GLA building around 10PM
Get there around 9:30, have a beer, introduce yourself and collect a few phone numbers.**I will be heading back into the city from Kew **
So if you need directions or someone to ride with there will be heaps of us heading back central.See you there.
I was behind you when you crashed into that car, picked up your phone further down the road. It's a virgin mobile ericsson, yeah? I'll PM you.
