  • Lotek FTW

  • I think vans are the best shoes to ride with straps n' cages

  • Lotek Nightwolf Slims. They are an almost exact coppy of the retro Vans though. Mine got sliced open by the chainring though.

  • Vans slip on, authentic and Converse, last thing I want is to walk about town with cycling shoes sounding like a duck with horse shoes on.

hence strap, I don´t even need to carry a shoe or leave it at the girlfriend´s flat.

  • A duck would never wear horse shoes. Geese had their feet covered in tar by drovers is that what you where thinking about?

  • I don't care whatever slang name you have for it, you shouldn't be doing it in public ;)

    hahahah . . .

all about vans on the pedals . . .

Guess you hasn´t seen Eddie Izzard.

This should be the spotted@ thread...

  • touche.

I´m finding skidding easier now with the strap (and probably the bullhorn bar), finally was able to master a skid stop with them.

getting better with putting feet in the strap but still very annoying at certain time when it took age.

  • ye, i find skidding with no straps when I've got a high cadence very difficult. Straps make it five times easier

  • vans slip ons

    slip-ons are for paedophiles.

  • Bum Bags are for paedophiles.

    Fixed :)

  • when i first read the OP, i thought that you were struggling to ride a cage (flat) pedal with just a strap.

i thought it was very strange, but that didnt surprise me really. Some tard has led the way and now everyone is ditching their toe clips and just using the straps. Stranger things happen.

further reading and i see that you are struggling with clips n straps.

MTFU, i was riding with toe clips when i was ten.
Clipless is the way, but i understand your lack of fashion sense may not extend to thepcial shoes (although there are plenty that allow you to walk properly - mtb)

find somewhere quiet to practice, and practice, and practice

MTFU? you need to HTFU and get your LFGSS acronyms sorted FTW, IMHO

Poor old OTP, you left her out

  • i'm wearing some adi stan smiths atm ftw. They're good imho.

    orly?

  • i consider myself told.

round these parts you either mtfu, or wtfu
i should've realised that in metroschmexual landan, it would be htfu.

    it wont happen again.

    much

  • orly?

    Does this mean "oh really?"?

If so, no doubt there are better ones that you can buy(i've never bought vans or anything) but I thing they're the best looking trainers around, plus they work fine with cages and straps.

  • I thought this thread was going to be about where to put your gun.

  • Mines in my Girdle

  • Whether clipless or strap, your feet soon learn how to flip a pedal and find a snug fit or the click-in spot.

    It's called muscle memory

    Allow it to happen

The brain is a big computer and can sort all this out for you - just let it

  • Riding with strapped chair?

  • thats twisted...

  • ^^lazy bitch.

  • I gotta tell you that I'm one of the few out here in LA that rock the platform BMX pedals. The straps are a pain in my ass, unless I'm riding the track. I've got big feet and like the freedom of not being locked down.
