this handle bar stem and other versions with a slideable fitting are commonly known as a 'major taylor stem' as this was the type he used

many many years ago maurice burton sold me a frame and some decent spares that he had raced on the continent. both he and russell williams are such decent grounded people the type that understand that everybody starts somewhere in the racing/cycling game.
