Is anybody up for a ride this lunchtime? It's been a few weeks since there has been one and I'd really like to get out. I'll be about and can do anywhere between 12-3. Ending up at a pub is preferable!

What's going on here. The last post was more than 2 months ago?!
Come on guys, lets get this thing back on the road again. I will be going for a ride from Millenium bridge/tate modern at lunch today. 1pm meet up and just go for an hours ride either along the river or other suggestions will be taken.

I'd be into turning up, work permitting (I never know what's going to happen til the last minute). Along the river maybe not, too busy with tourists etc. Why not a sprint down to somewhere like Southwark park and back? Busy around borough but that's it, nice and peaceful down Bermondsey cos they'll all be in the bookies by then spunking their giros.

depending on last minute changes. yes.

OH sorry I missed your meaning. Yep cool idea. I merely mentioned southwark cos, selfishly, I want to get to know the routes around there, wouuld like anyone who knows good cuts to teach me!
The only one I went on, ages ago, we went along to Waterloo, Parliament and Hyde Park, and back down to Embankment, which just seemed really dumb to me, so busy and choked up, What's the point in that?! Not really a social ride either. I'd rather hang out and ride steady than race about RLJing like a bunch of selfish hipsters. Maybe eastwards along the river would be better.
my 22p.

Skully in confused mood this morning..
I deeply resent the "a bunch of selfish hipsters" by the way. The lunchtime rides always had plenty of people on them who weren't in the least bit fashionable. I mean some of them looked like something the cat dragged in.
But yeah - the one you came on Skully didn't get repeated as far as I remember cos it was a bit traffic heavy.
Phil - I can be at Vauxhall Bridge by the time you guys get there if you fancied reopening the lunchtime rides for the late summer season with the ride up to Battersea.. or we can go wherever.

*true, sprint and steady roll in two posts seems a little ... confused. I guess when I sprint, its other people's steady.
** deeply? too near the bone?
Its all about putney common fair! yeah apparently its open from today until monday.
