I'm deleting the majority of what's posted on my profile. The last thing I want is my life to defined by Facebook.

I like the look of the new Facebook timeline stuff, it's free and I limit what I put on Facebook anyway, my only real problem with Facebook is it's founder, and the fact that he's a billionaire, the massive ginger CUNT.

My initial reaction having had a chance to go and look over events from my past:

Having had a chance to think about it, I now realise it is OK. The one huge problem seems to be how you can get rid of old stuff (particularly status updates and posts) without turning your present settings to be so private that nobody sees any current updates. Is it really a case of painstakingly deleting every offending entry one by one?! I don't want my profile to be a stalker's paradise.

Surely there must be an option to remove all posts older than 6 months or something?

Just a guess but if this is the type of thing that you worry about you're probably safe from stalkers.
