Hi
I like this bowery, and have a few answers regarding design
The giant bowery 76 (white / red) was done to celebrate that a giant bike was first rode in the olympics in that year. The font of the decals is same as was being used in 1976 by giant
The bike above (bowery 84) was done to mark the first year aero bars were used in the olympics, as the 76, the decal font is from that year.
Ive seen one, the saddle is really good quality and I think a nice touch, I like the wheels, apparently giant have have loads of requests to supply them for market.
Ive bought one - but am making a few changes to it, details to follow
I know Im a newbie to this forum - but not to bikes, just thought Id let you in on stuff ive heard

Mate, you fell for it.
I'm probably the biggest Bowery fan on here. I'll post a pic of my Bowery in a minute.
You are funny though. Welcome anyway.
Too lazy to post a pic, but look here http://www.londonfgss.com/thread11395-4.html

Oh, is that, "I'm the dickhead"?Or did you sign it as "dickhead"? In which case, you are supposed to let the rest of us call you dickhead first.
Okay?
You're hard work aren't you?

I think its good a copany like Giant have incresed their range of SS to four models from one last year - I realise this makes SS less "niche" for some purists - but I dont see this as a bad thing - its all good
I have no affiliation to giant - but do own a few of their bikes, and rate them highly, thats all
Im building a bowery from a mix of 2 models - hopefully to get the best of both
I too will post pics when done

the white bowerys alright but i cant stand the geometry
-
• #161
they are nice

They're a pretty colourway, but unless that's an actual brooks, it's a bit lame. The geometry is even more droopy than the Langster, non?

the geometry is fine on the bowery, unless you don't like the sloped top tube.
not an actual brooks, it's those copy from Japan.
If this was sold here for USA prices ($800 - $1000?), I think it would clean up the market. I'd buy one..............
but my belly might look funny touching (rolling over?) the top-tube.
