  • Ok, thanks. Suspected the one I have isn't lasting long enough. It's never hitting "full" charge.
Looks like it's going back to Sigma. Fun and games.

  • Has anyone ever had an Exposure repaired after a crash or drop?

  • Not after a crash, but I sent a toro for repair for the rear switch as it didn’t seem to be very sensative. Was a few years ago, but I just followed the instructions on their website (think it was just an email saying what and why), then sending it off to them. Had kept the box so sent it back on that, they did the work and then back within a week no further questions asked or costs to pay. Very painless all told, and a little note included saying what they had done to the light for reference.

  • Thanks. Sounds like it was still in warranty? This damage wont be covered unfortunately. I'm wondering if they do a paid service.

also, anyone ever opened one of these up?

  • 99% sure they do a paid for repair service. I had expected to pay to be honest, was an end of line bargain light and a few years after I’d bought it!

I’d email them and see what they say, else I think someone over on bearbonesbikepacking has replaced the batteries themselves (and so opened it up. Think one end is threaded, but couldn’t remember which!

  • Is there a forum favourite usb front lamp that can neatly mount to fork crown, under my handlebar bag?
My wankbrid won’t get ridden enough to justify a dynamo.

  • Don’t know if it’s a forum fav, but the Cateye volt lights can mount on a fork. Often see them on bromptons.

  • Anyone recommend a light mount that attaches by bolt vertically, then moves sideways to support light?

Problem solvers make one , but seems out of stock everywhere.

  • Pics would help A LOT here...

  • Yes they do a paid service - you've just got to email their customer services. My light got wrecked in a crash and they fixed it with a new shell, back plate, and a couple of internals and it's still going strong

  • That is good to know. I’d have put that in the recycling bin, but if something similar happens to mine I’ll now give them a shout. Cheers!!

  • …what was left of the original?

  • That looks... painful.

  • Yes sorry, thought I added it.

  • Wow and I thought that would help work out what you were asking for.

    I need a beer.

You bolt it to a fork or stay and then the light mounts to the cylinder as if it were a handlebar, right?

  • Small angle bracket, similar to what usually comes with a set of mudguards, and a Paul Gino type thingy bolted to said bracket, possibly.

  • Surprisingly the main board, battery, and front section were all okay - it took quite a beating!

  • Haha yes it was! A car pushed me into water on a flooded road which had a half a foot deep pot hole in it. It sent me flying! - I was lucky to only come away with some cracked ribs/battered leg and a couple of broken things on my bike all things considered!!

  • I hope you took them to court and they are forever paying your medical bills

  • Is Exposure still the only recommwndation given in this thread?

Use case: commute / backup light if dyno fails on audax bike.

  • Ravemen PR series get pretty good reviews all round if you don’t have the exposure budget.

  • I bought a gopro exposure adapter ages ago but it's for the wrong light. Too big for my trace.
Anyone have any use for it for a couple of quid?
Fits Equinox, Diablo, Axis, Joystick, Sirius, Switch, Link, Link Plus, Equestrain Link, Equestrain Link Plus, Zenith

  • For commuting or as a backup, very happy with my Cateye GVolt 50 on the front and Lezyne Strip Drive Pro on the rear, and I tend to be very particular when it comes to bike stuff. Let me know if you need a full review. They're not exactly small though, so as a backup for audax I just take a dainty Decathlon light and hope for the best.

  • don’t have the exposure budget.

You can get the Trace for less than £40 which is a good, light, small front light with good battery.
