Nice one, thanks

Light only on helmet is a bad idea.
Also think that any additional weight on your head might cause trouble over distance.
There's nice smart ones that have the loop thing. -

Okay I might get an extra Moon Nebula to put on the stays

Nebula is over kill, comet x pro is the sweet spot.

I lost a jacket with my Knog Blinder Mob The Face lights in. As per https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/knog-light-blinder-mob-the-face-twinpack-2017/rp-prod164488
I've had a couple of sets of these and was considering a change.
Budget around £50, used only in the city, needs to work between Brompton (tiny bars and massive seatpost) and beater interchangeably.
I like being able to pop them in a pocket and USB rechargeable is a must.
Is there anything out there that would suit my needs better, or might be cheaper?

Evans still got lots of discounts on moon lights online...I've been more then happy with mine.

Knog plus are good, or I like the look of their new cobber series but haven't tried them.
-
• #5010
Thanks for the heads up, I went for these in the end.

Where in LDN actually stocks Knog lights? Evans etc. list them on websites, but only have pretty much their own range in store.
-
• #5012
Saw a few in look mum when I went there once, not many though.

• #5013
Silverfish is the distributor so maybe see what their website says.

I was given a See.Sense ACE light today. Has anyone used one?
It's supposed to a smart light and gets brighter when you slow down.

Is this planet x light (not typing out its ridiculous name) going to be any good for low light bridleway pootles? Seems decent value for 20 pounds.

Perhaps Disco Inferno would have been a better name?

my lezyne 1100xl has stopped taking a charge.
i've been looking at the bikehut ones as a possible replacement.
https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-lights/bike-lights/bikehut-1600-lumen-front-bike-light
out front garmin mount could be useful + powerbank and charge indicator are also nice touches...
any user opinions? -

I have this as a backup light. Pretty bright, very big. Doesn't last very long (can't remember exact runtimes but it's 2-3 hours on maximum, which is fine, but then the lower outputs didn't seem to be much better).
I use a Wahoo so the Garmin mount is useless given you can't turn the puck inside around.

You can get these things to use a Garmin mount with Wahoo https://uk.wahoofitness.com/devices/accessories/quarter-turn-mount-adapter-elemnt

thanks - might go for the 1000 lumen instead. i'm not sure i really need 1600
-
• #5024
If you're going at any speed, you may want something with a bit more juice that 700 Lumens. However, you won't have any oncoming headlights to deal with which is my main ballache when road riding at night.

the glass on my cheap chinese cree light has become a little loose - it now rattles constantly when I cycle. I was planning to run a little superglue around the diameter to try seal it/stick it again - anyone got any better ideas or reckon that will work fine?
Standlight only refers to dynamo lamps, it’s if/how long they stay on when you stop.
The reference to stand light on that battery light is just an error.
