  • I need to dig them out shortly and check everything's in order going rate seems to be about £40 for the newer one (linked above), £30 for the older model. I have one of each and would consider a polo discount if you think that's off the mark...

If you're after something with a bit more kick (for several more ££) I might be parting ways with an Exposure Toro MK5 and Exposure Joystick MaXx too...

  • All the lights.

  • They have their own box...

  • Just took delivery of a Luu Extreme 900lm.
Very well put together bit of kit. Looks and feels up to Exposure standards.
Much brighter than my daughters MK1 Toro and only £90 off fleabag!

  • @andy_k talk to me bruv!

I need a super big-dick lane-illuminator front light and I was after one of those USB Flares and all...

I'll slide in to your PMs...

  • Makes a note to buy and try before winter sets in.

  • Would anyone want a proper front light - Cateye EL530 Power Opticube Front Light, that looks
    like this?

The awesome el-530 uses one ultra bright white led within Cateyes patented Power Opticube lens for an output in excess of 1500 candlepower and a max run time of 90 hours!

Cheapest one I've found is £43. Yours for £20 with batteries.

  • I'd like it, Dimi, if nobody else has dibsed it yet.

  • It's yours Oliver. Can drop it now, on my way to the Bridges Ride.

  • Ah, cheers, Dimi. Sorry, I didn't make the Bridges ride--I only saw the thread shortly after it was meant to have set off. I'll send you a PM in case you're around tomorrow.

  • I emailed Lezyne regarding a possible warranty claim and the website says they will respond within 48 hours but it's been 5 days now.

Has anyone dealt with their customer service before?

  • I need a light for unlit paths - am considering this and wouldn't really want to spend more - anybody got any better recommendations though:

  • Grab one with the same XML T6 LED (or the XML U2) for a fraction of the price of eBay.

  • wicked, thanks.

  • I emailed Lezyne regarding a possible warranty claim and the website says they will respond within 48 hours but it's been 5 days now.

Still no response from Lezyne, so I contacted Wiggle instead and they responded immediately asking me to return the light to them.

  • I'm looking for a rear light that I can wrap around a seat stay. Any suggestions?

  • Carrying on the exposure fanboying from the other light thread, their rubberband things have a half way point that makes them tight enough to fit on seatstays fine (I use it on my rack and it's just about ok there too)...

(see the red band in andy_k's picture above)

  • I recently got bored of those crappy cateye "flextight" brackets, so I designed a little adaptor that would work with a gopro handlebar clamp and my cateye light. I got it 3D printed and tried it out today. Needs a bit of loctite on the holding screw, but apart from that, it seems to work well. I'm just designing one that doesn't need the part from the cateye bracket, but it will then lose it's rotation. Would any of you guys be interested in either version if I got a few made? Price would probably come in at ~£10 made from this stuff.

  • Exposure looks a bit pricey for a backup rear light. I don't suppose there is anything cheaper? Was hoping (perhaps unrealistically) for a 10-20 quid option.

  • +1

I've had one of those for a while, no problems so far.

  • Cheers. Just to check, the mounting strap will close tight enough to fit on a seat stay?

  • Yes (although I hadn't realised that was part of the criteria, sorry)

  • I like this idea, but don't own a GoPro, a GoPro mount, or a CatEye light.

I support any effort to standardise accessory-to-bracket interfaces.

  • Yeah, it seems more and more stuff is using the gopro system (knog, shimano, a few other cameras..). The gopro mount in itself is only ~£2.50 from alibaba, and is quite a compact, secure mounting system, so would be worth the investment if you had other stuff you wanted to mount and adapters were made available.
