Been using a P7 Lensor for 2 years now. Only ever have it on low power (or you get moaned at) and I recharge the Batteries once every 2 weeks. Thats on a daily 20 mile commute.
The only issue is mounting it - the bike mount is big and fugly so I have been using a Fenix Velco Bracket which works ok but would like a better solution.

Hope Vision 2 & Hope District+ is working well for me. You can definitely get the same amount of light and more for a lot less dorrah, but I'm generally happy.
The seatpost mount for the District+ is a bit restrictive (yes, it's circular seatpost only) and positioning it so it doesn't rub against flabby thighs is a bit of an art but I don't feel too hard done by with it. The Vision 2 did fail on me once but Hope repaired it and sent it back for free despite it being ex-demo.

I got a Smart Lunar R1 rear light, the older ½ watt version. I am looking for a second light that is brighter with USB charging if possible. Any recommendations?

. I've got an old **Edinburgh Revolution LED vision **thing like this which is OK I suppose:
and use a Flea as a backup. Will I be any better off buying:
a) Smart Lunar 35 for £23 - small, bright, long runtime - can you get spare brackets?
b) Stump up the extra cash for an Exposure Sirius at £69
c) Stop moaning and buy some spare rechargeable batteries for the Lezyne
I have both the Revoultion and the Smart Lunar 35. The Lunar has a wider beam than the Revoultion and a big flash for a small light but the batteries run out quicker than the Revoultion (x2 AA versus X4 AAA I guess.). It's a good light although I'll be replacing it with something better when it dies. Planet X often have them cheap.
Having said that c) is the best option. Put them on charge every night and you have good lights everytime. :)

^ Thanks - have bought some hi capacity AAAs for the revolution front light and ordered some cheapo rechargeable L123s for the Lezyne.
Will see how it goes (suspect I'll be back on the Vision 1 by the time the clocks change)...

Right I need a bright (enough to light up street/ see where going), c. £100 rechargeable front light.
Have plenty of decent rears, but could really use a super bright for the front.I've read through as much of the thread as I can take in...

Useful as always LCB.
I'm sure there's a website, which had pictures of the lights in use, but can't remember name of it.

I'd recommend trying one of these.

The plus points are that it's ridiculously cheap and ridiculously bright (to the point where if you get the angle wrong cars going to the other way will flash you because they're being dazzled). It's also easy to mount and unmount. The downsides are that with the battery pack it's quite bulky and the quality doesn't feel great, although it's worked perfectly for me so far.

Anybody used the Exposure TraceR?
Was considering the Blaze but the TraceR seems to be only 5 lumens shy of the Blaze's 75 at half the price, admittedly with half the battery capacity. -

That looks really good. How much runtime do you get from a single battery pack ?

I tend to charge it after every time I use it so I've no idea to be honest! I've used it for 4-5 hours on high beam and constant before and it was fine though.

As is the norm of enquiring about bike lights at this time of year I would like to recommend to everyone to buy Cree 1800 lumens.
Wherever you can find them buy them. These are the only lights I have felt really safe with in the dark as demonstrated this morning.
Really bright and a real presence. For the £16 I paid on ebay they are a total bargain.
Get some!

Yeah - just want some 'be seen' low hassle long run time lights for in town commuting.
Got Hope Vision 1/ head torch set up for out of town/ off road
You have too much technology I think. Try holding up a flaming bit of wood.
