  • Oh yeah, ticket printing. Thanks for the reminder y'all...

  • Rode this today.

Truly lovely route. Well done Dulwich Paragon.

If the route is the same as the one on their website then watch for:
-sharp left after Woldingham Golf club, the road has a lot of gravel
-Hever road (signposted towards Hever Castle) has roadworks - it will only have room for you or a car, not both.
-Force Green Ln (the right after you come over the M25) has a LOT of dirt/mud/gravel. Don't wear your brand new white kit.

It is do-able fixed, but crikey I want to ride with you if you can do it, it will be tough if you are riding fixed. If you know Toys Hill in Kent and can do both ascents riding fixed, you'll be fine.

    Enjoy the ride tomorrow all.

    Oh, very few falling leaves.

  • Oh yeah. Ticket printing. I forgot that.

    What ticket?
There is no ticket.. you turnup cross your name off a list.
    What exactly are you printing?

  • oh apparently there is.. forgot this is the first time ive actually ever had one.

    sighs

Looks like the sun is out for this - won't be the same
    least the wind is up

  • Dammit - what time are you setting off?

  • 08.30

Always up for a challenge :) Am off at 0830 so plenty of walking time if I can't get up the last few hills on fixed.

Love your work. That's the spirit but I'm sure weaving will get you up. You don't even do all of Toys.

  • Right, I have had:

    • Slice of banana bread
    • Scone+jam+cream
    • Ribeye steak+chips
    • Lemon tart

I think that's what Wiggins has before race day?

  • That's what Wiggins eats in the week before a race.

  • So I'm seven times more prepared?

Tomorrow is going to be awesome.

  • Looking forward to this, despite being massively unfit and ill the last few weeks. Bucket of pasta and a peanut butter milkshake for dinner has sorted me right out. 9.10 start but probably gonna leave a touch earlier. Will DAS anyone with a whiff of forum about them

  • Add a tall skinny bloke to these clothes and you'll have spotted me:

  • Nice wallpaper...

  • It took ages to get it to look that good.

  • For those who have never done RoFL before. You are in for a treat tomorrow, look out for slow geezer at the back.. Me

  • Should be a nice group of forumgers leaving about 9ish (including me). I'll be almost a full kit wanker with a Condor SS and gear. Yay.

  • YAL.. It'll be good catching up, tomorrow

  • See a tall guy, on a white Canyon, in Bath CC kit? That's me. Say 'hello BenJam' and you'll be rewarded with a smile and a reciprocal greeting.

  • Is there a general move towards a pub at the end?
    Perhaps Le Prince de Reej?

  • Watch your bikes, or it'll be the Ride of the Lolling Thieves.

    Have fun, all!

  • I just got in, am sweaty and tired from dancing all night and for dinner I had a Lilt. So the odds aren't looking great for me making this. But never say never!! If I do make it I'll be wearing a forum hat, pink unicorn earrings and will probably be whistling tunelessly.
