  • Next Friday sounds good to me too, may well be in for that, although you never know how Friday beers will pan out..

I'm with Lebowski about keeping the start place as is, central is good for everyone..

  • Livingasleep, I'm east actually, so we could meet up and ride in if you want. I'm near Mile end rd. How about you?

Oh, and I'm definitely in for bagels.

nice, im in canary wharf, mile end road is on the way to ye olde beigell shop. let me know how your day treats ya and we'll start a bit earlier with a beigel.

  • Lebowski you HHing it tomorrow? I may be along for this tonight if my man gets in from Berlin on time and fancies it too. Livingasleep we could hook up...

  • Oh! Great thread, I'd love to be there.

But my bike got nicked 2 nights ago.

    Damnit damnit damnit.

  • ... if my man gets in from Berlin on time and fancies it too. Livingasleep we could hook up...

I'm not sure this is the late night meeting you think it is Phil. We're just riding, honest ;)

Nah, can't do HH tomorrow. Go and tear up the track for me.

  • just to confirm I am not

    a) a drug dealer
    b) an arms dealer
    c) a spy in the cold war

so yep I was thinking bikes too! hopefully see you there, sounds good yo..

Oi! Don't do beigals without the rest of us! We'll meet at your front door, if that's what it takes.

    (What about Tower Bridge instead?)

ok ok no pre-ride beigels. pajamas and lebowski where do you guys wanna meet up? agree that a central meetup is ideal. we can ride to waterloo bridge, meet up with the others head back east (possibly through the same route we did for trixie dix ride pajamas?? through canary wharf? or is that pushing it?) for beigels then head NW through london then back to waterloo bridge or a late night pub if anyone knows of such mythical place.

Ooh, a plan! I was just going to busk it.

Sounds good though - and I love riding to Canary Wharf. For some reason.

So we're back to meeting at WATERLOO BRIDGE at 11PM.

its a vague plan, i think thats the best we can do. have a general sense of direction then just wing it.

  • Okay my man's flying in from Berlin and is up for this.. I will meet you 11pm at Waterloo as arranged. later on I'm definitely up for a bagel drop-in o'er East.

regards the route I'm up for anything. Notting Hill and East End and the centre in one go all sound good; I'll be riding home some permutation of peckham etc. so I'd personally prefer to leave the southside stomping ground out the picture just cos I do this about four times a day, either fizzing with beer-thickened energy or dog tired the morning after.

  • Not wanting to hijack this ride, but why don't we all throw up our favourite streets/sections/places to ride at night and let's see if we can't get a route happening.

Mine is easy: Embankment. From Westminister down to Blackfriars or London Bridge. Fast.

ooh that bit is nice, especially if you hit the timing of the lights perfectly.

ill add to that constitution hill plus the mall. down horse guards road to westminster then on to lebowski's bit.

i must say im shit at directions once im already on a bike though.

  • Can we put some hills in? (I'm not so knowledgeable when it comes to North London, so I'm open to suggestions. Pentonville Road doesn't count though.)

If we don't manage to get everyone's requests into this ride, we can* just do another one*.

  • If you want a night ride next weekend, you should come to this as well:

yeah gutted im missing that. italian beaches beckon.

so pajamas youre not meeting us east? lebowski where should we meet up for this then?

  • .

might do but don't think so, let me know where you'll be and I might come down early. but I think 11 at Waterloo Bridge is something i can get straight..

..like I said I'm not bothered about routes, I'm up for whatever, 20-30 miles would be good ending up at E1's notorious Brick Lane for a bagel. Hills sound good too. Not much traffic sounds great.

all sounds good to me. see ya at 11.

  • starting to get really fuckin' jealous about this series of rides, and frustrated that I'm not on the bike, if I were, I'd be on this ride like white on rice...

damn you for starting good rides when I'm incapable of coming out on them, (shakes fist in general direction of forumengers who can ride and are going out on this ride)

  • Let us know the moment you're back on the bike, and we'll have a Welcome Back Cornelius ride. You get to pick the route (and the pubs).

  • course we could always make Corn's joint one of the stops.................

  • Dang I fancy a little fly around town later on, but bike is at home.

  • fuck it, i'm in, what's the current outline plan?

  • Shit, it just started tipping it down! Hopefully will clear up by tonight. Metcheck has it finishing by 7pm, but we'll see...

@Super, meeting in the middle of Waterloo bridge at 11pm. Ride. Eat bagels. That's all we got so far.
