you have to wonder tho... who the fuck is going buy moody bentley wheels? if you can afford a bentley you're not going to be shopping for spares down brick lane are you? that care probs cost more than my flat is worth. even more baffling is who the fuck is going to want TWO hooky bentley wheels? i just can't see the motivation for this. it's not like mercs or beemers where you can pick them up cheap (because the insurance, running costs and general size aren't practical in london) then pimp them with after market bits. those wheels are hooge and i'd be surprised if they fitted on much other than another bentley. really, who's going to want two nicked bentley wheels?
Why does there have to be a reason? I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who'd like to screw over a Bentley driver. The wheels may well be in a bush somewhere, or maybe in a skip. Steal one wheel and the owner can just put on the spare, but steal two and they can't go anywhere.

Whats it got to do with saying that, i know for a lot of people a flash car is a status symbol . . . but if your into cars and you have got the cash, then that's what your going to spend it on.

I was lucky enough to make a lot of money in a previous career - because of my love for all things mechanical instead of buying a nice pad which is what i should have done, i blew my cash on cars, motorbikes, bikes, and other crap, but i had fun doing it. I have a custom built one off San Andreas sitting in my parents garage that gets used about once a year, but i didnt buy that to say fuck you i've made it, i bought it because i had the cash to buy the best bike i wanted, no different to the car.

In my book you've made it in the world when you are happy with who you are, and no supercar, wag, or HHSB is going to change that.

that reminds me, i was bikefux last night enduring their legendarily unfriendly service (me: "thanks, bye" them: "-"). the guy in there had a pair of tatty lycra shorts on with a hole on the arse. he kept bending over and his hairy posterior was on plain dispay to the customers. subtle.

I looked out the window to check the wheels were still on mine when I saw this. You have to admire the tea-leaf's balls though - he'd have to get past the locking wheelnuts, then because the car has air springs the wheels stay on the ground unless you lock the suspension off from the inside, or jack it WAY up, so he'd have had to drag the wheels off, and they weigh a ton...

Wonder how much he wants for them? I could use a couple of spares...

Honestly any of you who actually like cars (I love them...don't tell anyone) would definitely spend that on a cra if you had it...I know I would, although I'd have the good taste to buy something other than a Bentley.... and honestly it's all relative...maybe he can afford to have his wheels replaced but if you can afford to have your arrospok or phil/campy sets replaced that doesn't mean it's ok to have them stolen...I hope the little bollox who nicked this guys wheels gets whats coming to him and I hope this never happens to anyone here because they certainly won't find it funny...

Well if you want a sports car to do 500 miles in a day, and fit a shit load of luggage in, and sit in massage seat comfort, then its the Bentley or a Merc CL, and given i spent a lot of time in the alps the 4wd of the Bentley was the clincher. Also any VW dealer can fix most of the problems on a Bentley.

I atually quite liked it becaus eit is quite subtle compard to alternatives - every time i have ever been in a ferrari in town, i feel like putting a balaclava on, whereas peole dont really look twice at the bentley

Anyway i drive a 125 moped now, and its completely OTP

I dont think there is anything wrong with being really into cars per se. It just so happens that most of the people who are really into cars and spend money on doing them up with tinted windows and all that bollox, seem to also be total knob ends who think they own the roads. Jamaroqui, Jeremey Clerkson, that boxing twat who got knocked out the other day are 3 that spring to mind
