I'm all about the Rough Trade record store. They have stuff you cant get anywhere else but online. Some good rock n roll gigs happen around Brick Lane too!

The Gun does nice salt beef (silverside I think the Oz call it) sandwiches. I'm going to the shitty now.. I might have a look for this place although I doubt I'll get to BL.

Have you got a hatred towards Everton? Did someone throw a pukka pie at you or something at Goodison once?!
-
• #93
To be fair, those saltbeef beigels are well worth struggling through BL for, lashings of mustard and a muggy coffee in a poly cup, MMmmmm.....

Far from it. It was a joke that wouldn't have worked with Alex Ferguson - now there's a club I do loathe...

Babelfish?

Yes, aswell as smoked salmon and cream cheese, chopped herring and tuna mayonnaise. Just don't ask for a bacon one!
i think they do crispy bacon...
+1. Brick Lane Curry is shite, mostly. Cafe Naz used to be OK when it opened, but the only ones to go to are the sweets/kebab shop type ones.
BUT
Over the last year I have been going to Mai'da, which is just round the corner on Bethnal Green Road, 1 minute from the beigel shop. IT FFing RULES. No twats there as they don't sell booze. Also they don't sell the normal kind of generic mix n match curry menu at all (like: they only sell Lamb Kurma not chicken or fucking prawn kurma), their tandoors are on view of the restaurant, breads are amazing, maltezer milkshakes. Go go go.
