Only yesterday did i discover the second blip on the front mech shifter which stops the mech dragging on the chain. Is this 'new' to 11spd?
Coming from 10spd Tiagra.... -

Trim? No most shifters have had that for a while.

Cycling home about 2 months ago saw a bloke at the side of the road I knew from work. I pulled over and said 'Hello Richard' and asked him how he was. He looked at me really confused and said he wasn't Richard, and said he couldn't be Richard as he was Italian and would be called Riccardo. I was a little bit embarrassed and apologised and went on my way.
It played on my mind as I was convinced I knew the guy. Eventually I forgot about it until the other night I was flicking through the channels and the footie was on. Imagine my surprise when I saw my ‘mate’ talking about the Italy game. Turns out the person I thought I knew was Gianluca Viali not Richard from that conference I was at. I felt a bit more of a twat but looking back on it at least he was very nice about it and didn’t mind someone who had seen him on TV thought they knew him. I guess at least I didn’t ask for an autograph.

Amazon man just made a delivery, and it must have looked like a scene from Dexter, I was in my underwear cleaning blood splatters from the walls.
I had taken the dogs out for a walk and got soaked, got home and got out of my wet clothes. Then discovered one of the dogs had cut their tail and each time they wagged it another shower of blood was deposited in a Jackson Pollockesque fashion.

If you got wet riding your bike today it's my fault.
I checked the weather before leaving the house and it suggested I was only likely to encounter a light shower, so I did not take a rain jacket and it pissed down. It only seems to be when I leave the house without adequate protection that the heavens open.

I confess to driving to the gym and to work.
It's bouncing rain here to the extent visibility is reduced to "OMGF PLEASE PUT YOUR LIGHTS ON". Still... :)

I was a berk and lit a bonfire with petrol over the weekend. The resulting combustion gave my leg and arm a pretty good scorching. Idiot
-
• #4545
Everyone knows you lead a little trail of petrol away from the bonfire and light it from a safe* distance
*using petrol to light a fire isn't safe at all

Upwind, on a trail of newspaper, adding petrol at the VERY last second...... Still dangerous!

Reading the 'In the news' thread some were talking about career highlights. Mine occurred last week when I broke into a 'secure' cabinet after a collague forgot their keys. I used Fallout 4 bobby pin (well a paper clip) technique. Actually worked. I felt so proud.

Planning n-2+1.
Founder members of Streetcar so we pay no annual fee for Zipcar as it stands. No reason for that to change.
DVLA have taken away the license from a family member (they're quite happy with that decision really) and we're the only ones without a car so we are being given it.
It kind of makes sense and we won't be making journeys we wouldn't have made before by Zipcar anyway. Don't feel guilty for on road parking as 2/3rds of the spaces around us are generally free anyway.
