Bloody trees, always stepping out in front of ya

I keep being followed by a guy (creepy, tries to talk to me) from Lewisham to basically my house and to my shame and rage I cannot drop him.
I'm going to have to get a bigger gear. Or adopt a more laissez faire approach to traffic lights.

Have you tried "Fuck off, please"?
-
• #3559
No, he looks like he might get angry and he knows where I live.
-
• #3560
I'm just trying to be friendly....
-
• #3561
Go for a long after-worker ride and see how long he can keep up? Although I suppose that might just be seen as encouraging him.
Find a friendly copper?
Or get John to organise a bridges ride and mob him with drunk/brklss fixe-skiddrs

I included "please", it's illegal to get angry if you say it nicely.

Ride really slowly.
Will make it really awkward for 6pt he should stop being so creepy.

Isn't that what boyfriend's are for? (As deterrents not stalkers that is.)
-
• #3565
I'd rather just be able to drop him.
I'm not too worried, it's just annoying. I tried stopping today but he just talked at me while I ignored him, and then followed me when I started again.

I can't help but feel worried about that kind of behaviour..
Have you tried asking him to leave you alone? If he says no I don't think police is unwarranted. Or a quick word on here will probably get a swarm of people down in a few seconds.

Ex boyfriends?

This.
It is actually also a bit scary even having to tell some weirdo to go away and be weird somewhere else, especially if they know where you live and you're on your own. If it were me I'd probably change my commute, my bike, and wear a groucho marx disguise just to avoid having to.

This sounds a little drastic. I still like the original approach of going faster than him. It'll be good TT training.

^ Obviously it's your call but you said he follows you around and won't stop talking when it's obvious he should.
That's the kind of behaviour that shouldn't be allowed to continue.
However working with your solution - surreptitious e-bike conversion?

This is what cars are for. You don't need to communicate with any other road user when in a car.

He's probably just a northerner who's recently moved down.
