"...I didn't ever ride into a car."
...a certain BMW owner might disagree, not?
-
• #2328
I never came into contact with it and neither did my bike :)

His wing mirror spontaneously combusted... you just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

You're a disaster
waiting to happenhappening... -

... I hate other cyclists more than I hate (most) car drivers in London.
Since moving SE, I've witnessed some shocking disregard for personal safety and safety of others just to get somewhere 30 seconds before someone else.

^ This.
Also, I just found out what FGFS stands for, I was worried people were trying to build fixed full-sus bikes...
-
• #2334
Well I do plan to bring a FGFS on the Epping rides so....

I fell over outside Rapha this aftrernoon...
20 meters down the road god taken down by a pedestrian. -
• #2336
I brought my lovely MTB that was completely caked in mud to the opening at the Rapha cafe, and hung it up alongside quite a few pristine looking road bikes inside it.
This isn't a confession, just a related memory.

I hope you made an effort to rub up against all the road bikes to get them muddy.

"I fell over outside Rapha this aftrernoon... 20 meters down the road god taken down by a pedestrian."
God taken down by pedestrian outside Rapha... that would have knocked me over and all!

Yesterday, while 'working' on a bike, I broke a hammer.
-
• #2343
Fine tuning the chain line?
-
• #2344
Bigger hammers are needed.
-
• #2345
The bigger the problem, the bigger the hammer... Bigger hammers are definitely needed.

I always check the 'free word' build thread before anything else on here, PM's can wait, my own threads can wait, that shit is gold.

I was rude to a cyclist today; middle-aged woman carrying a guitar. She crawled past me at 1-2mph while I was waiting at a red light, trundled straight through and carried on grinding away over the roundabout. As I passed her I said something like: "That was the slowest RLJ I've ever seen".
I didn't mean to be rude about her speed - all cycling is good - it was just my usual RLJ telling-off. Meh. Hope she didn't take it to heart.
It's all in the hips.
