  • Everyone has at least one bike related skeleton in their closet.

I'll start: I've never actually owned anything made by campagnolo, and I'm secretly proud of it.

  • When's your birthday? I've got some old small bits lying around that I can giftwrap ;)

  • I like the look of big clearances between tyre & forks, oh the shame..

  • Every bike I've ever bought has been custom built from the best parts I could afford. I've never known the joy of cobbling together anything from begged, borrowed or stolen parts just to be able to ride. I have, and still do, put purchase of bike parts above food.

  • I was scared of fixed wheel. Only started riding fixed by accident - when the bike that came to me over ebay did not have a drilled bridge, and I wasn't going to ride it as a one-brake SS.

  • I learnt to cycle rather in the same way as these kids here on Singapore's East Coast Parkway

  • In third grade, I cheated on my history exam. In fourth grade, I stole my uncle Max's toupee and I glued it on my face when I was Moses in my Hebrew School play. In fifth grade, I knocked my sister Edie down the stairs and I blamed it on the dog... When my mom sent me to the summer camp for fat kids and then they served lunch I got nuts and I pigged out and they kicked me out... But the worst thing I ever done - I mixed a pot of fake puke at home and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then, t-t-then, I made a noise like this: hua-hua-hua-huaaaaaaa - and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life

  • Object is a cunt. Not a confession, just an observation.

  • I had an Emelle Santana, bright yellow, which i modified with a batman disc wheel cover on the back when i was about 11

Not too different to how i roll now :)

  • I own a London Langster, and I like it.

You don't know Nelson Muntz is? Ha Ha

  • I love my fixed and it's slightly uncomfortable awkwardness from being built on a Carbolite frame that's not really the right geometry for me. I love the challenge of learning everywhere I usually freewheel and the smug satisfaction I get from remembering to brake properly and not reaching for the levers. I love rocking around town with people not quite knowing that I don't operate in the same way as them, reading traffic in ways they don't understand.

But the confession is that I dearly love gears as well. I love both methods of control and whilst I'm really glad I've built up a fixed, I don't think I'll ever give up my geared bikes.

  • i shit in my judo 'ghee' when i was thrown particularly hard age 12.

  • Outside of work I prefer riding my geared bike. There, I've said it.

  • I hadn't ridden a bike since I was 7, before I got my single speed raleigh conversion last april.

  • I killed a man in Reno just to watch him die

  • I rode a girl's bike aged between 4 and 8 years old. Now I have a girl's name. Go figure.

  • You don't know Nelson Muntz is? Ha Ha

the fact that i share a first name with the simpsons resident alchoholic means i dont watch it much...

  • i ride a pinarello...

  • My bike was once OTP.

  • I've never bought OTP. I feel I'm missing out somehow..
