The kid went to a Yo! Sushi beginners class last year and had a good time and learned a bit.
I think there are two more levels.

from that link.
Cooking the rice is easy as hell, as is the actual rolling of the rolls, the only hard part is having a whole fish and knowing how to cut it. -

^Which is why Yo isn't in the same league as Feng or Moshi Moshi...

Anyone else here tried Kulu Kulu on Brewer St? I really like it, reminds me of a typical Japanese sushi cafe (I say this having spent some time in Japan), always fresh and tasty. Took my young lady there last weekend, who previously thought sushi came in small plastic packs from M&S, she loved the real thing!
Can any sushi aficionados tell me where I can get 'toro' the fatty/belly cut of tuna in any London sushi joints? I got addicted to it while in Japan and miss it terribly! Le sob.
True facts raw fish stories. Had some sashimi while in Nara where the fish had basically just been taken out of a tank in the restaurant and prepared by the chef. So everything was just 'off the bone' head and tail still attached. I went to take a bit but must have touched a nerve, or the fish wasn't actually dead, as it nearly flipped off the plate.
