I am debating whether to get up at 6 and come down, or get up for 8 and watch the Grand Prix. Im relatively sober though, so thats a start

For all of you who're feeling tempted, commit! Great chance to get some bike thrills in the capital by stealing the best from traffic-free roads!
Oh, and to add to Andy's brekkie location suggestion, Jim and I know where a damn fine donut can be had at any hour of the day.

damn.I don't think anyone is but once you force yourself onto the bike all your worries fade away..
"We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that TTs with me Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition: And gentlemen in England now a-bed Shall think themselves accursed they were not here"
I'm using gentlemen/brother in the very loosest sense of the word there, we had one young lady with us too

Epic ride everybody!
10 people turned up. We changed the route due to quite a lot of traffic on Embankment. We ended up doing the TT Royale:
Races were in pairs. Here are the results:
Prav / Provenrad: 3:52.00
Andy / Lebowski: 3:53.64Will / Wibble: 3:53.98
Tom / tomasito: 3:34.14John / Dropout: 3:33.30
Gus: 3:36.17Jim / Hillbilly: 3:17.97
Mike / Mikec: 3:17.36Neil / MacDingle: 3:54.80
Vicki / Stix: 4:24.67Great times by all.
Three people were mad enough to do it all over again in a 3 man race:
John: 3:31.08
Gus: 3:33.47
Andy: 3:49.72Followed by a fantastic fry-up and JimBilly's dirty sausage.
What a great way to start the day - to be repeated. Top effort everyone!
don't worry, I'll bring down some rum instead
