Just thought I'd share.
Riding into work this morning, heading alongside battersea park, avoiding he speed bumps, when a people carrier passes me, little kid in the back -think a little boy- not more than four or five, gives me a thumbs up and a big grin as they pass, which makes me smile and so I wave back at him.
Made my morning it did. That is all...
Yeah same thing happened to me but the other way round...
About a week ago i'm in whitechappel, it's raining and theres a kid looking miserable as sin in a traffic jam in the back seat, i pull the biggest fucking grin and give him a wave... he smiles and waves back.
Funny thing human nature and how little it takes to change someones day.
Bright times

nimbhus remember what I was saying about pisstaking, on that track cycling adidas ad thread, your comment adds nothing and sets the tone for all future comments, and in so doing, your restricting what I feel I should post, because of your juvenile response and the reponses it may elicit, and the level of debate, discussion that will now come from you having said that.
If you've got nothing better to post up than the forum equivalent of first, then whats the point of posting it in the first place. -

I love riding in the rain. Not too fond of children or cars though.

Yeah Nimbhus, you cunt!
I HATE riding, running or walking in the rain... I blame The Shangri-Las... Hate rain... Hate it...
A kid's smile tho', I love...
Edit: The Shangri-Las were of course Walking in the Sand... I shoulda blamed Ann Peebles... I'm blaming the women's beach volleyball for the mis-blaming... -

I should specify I like riding in warm(ish) rain. Winter rain is shit.

Winter rain gets a lot better when it's snow. I love riding over virgins now.

Chatting with an old chap in Richmond Park this morning,
shooting the breeze about hills, gear inches and training.
Taking up a whole lane.
Fuck the train! -

I hope this was a genuine typo. Hilarious.

Corny, ignore the haters. Small things like are what keep us all riding.
Kids waving from cars, forlorn and jealous looks from people on buses, peds stopping in zerba crossing to let you go first, buses that straddle both lanes to give you space, tourists pointing and waving from the open top buses. We own the roads of London like no other road users. That's why we ride.

thats great...maybe you've inspired him to take up cycling.
some times the world is quite good.that kind of thing makes up for all the shouting and swearing you hear elsewhere. -

Good to hear about a spontaneous moment of niceness for a change, too much negative stuff on here normally.
Well done cornelius.
