Mark Webb doing things that don't even make sense, even if you're not into park riding as a product of foam pits this is just fucking stupid:

You've just redeemed yourself, Scerbo is one of my favourite riders.
Here's some more street from SAF to wash the dirty park riding out of this thread.

I'm not sure how the last trick works, but I'd like to try it.

Highlights for me;
The uprail/predator downrail at 0.29 is seriously awesome.
How fucking bent Jesse Susicke's front axle.
The 60/40 180 out at 3.20 -

How did I not notice the bent axle?! That's mental.
I'm going to add these to the highlights reel;
- Barspin over the tramp
- Stretch's 180 fakie feeble to smith to fullcab to halfcab bars
- E-piff's rail ride to 180 fakie pegless derek duster (?)
- Nitro Circus train on the wrecked car
- Evan Gallagher's double ledge feeble (I don't even know what to call this) going on at 03:28
- Barspin over the tramp

Was that a tramp? I assumed it was one of his mates.
I very nearly added stretch's and E-Piff's tricks but thought top 3 was enough.
(Hadn't noticed the peg on E-Piffs though, I thought it was a fakie BB/crankarm grind)That double ledge 3.28 60/40 feeble thing is indeed a great trick that I doubt we'll see often but I'd love to find a setup to try it on.
Basically that whole video makes me sad that this weekend was so wet.
Especially considering the rails I spotted down the road from my house.
-
• #1440
That's definitely a tramp.
There wasn't any pegs going on with E-Piff's grind, but a derek duster seemed to be the closest comparison, as it looked to be on the bottom bracket with the chainstays right up against the rail and the front axle hanging just below. I need to school myself on the names of pegless grind tricks.
I'd like to try an anti-crooked on a similar setup to the double feeble. On the topic of tricks needing a specific setup I need to find something to learn rollercoaster grinds on.

Watched it again, you're right about the tramp.
E-Piff was pegless, probably why I thought BB/crankarm but I can see why you called it a DD.

^^^I'm not feeling those rails. They're too close together, too short and the kink would increase the chances of snagging up on a quick ice or tooth.
-
• #1443
I certainly wouldn't travel for that rail but as it's 3 minutes from home it would be rude not to give it a go.
Gremlin.
180 to fakie rollercoaster.
Damn. -

No superiority intended.
I've never ridden foam pits and big indoor parks and there will always be people to post the latest in crazy big park moves, whereas a lot of street edits tend to get overlooked as the really tech street stuff just isn't as impressive to most people.
You'll note that I rarely post any dirt jumping or flatland either, it's also not something I personally ride but I love that other people are pushing themselves and BMX by doing it.

It's a shame that tech tricks get overlooked by all but the most avid watchers. I watched Red Bull's Rampage, loads of madness with MTB's going off huge drops etc, but spotted that one rider (can't remember who, but big MTB name) 360'd a huge drop then hit a second drop and 360'd again, but this time switch. The judge / commentator gave him a bit of a hard time for repeating a trick. I can't even hop up a kerb switch, so I'm always impressed if I spot it, but it's easy for those who don't know the rider to overlook the niggly little stuff
EDIT - oh and Object and BMXed, I don't usually post in this thread, but it's one of my favourites

I like watching tech street edits because I enjoy riding tech street. Along with that I find watching people ride things that had never been intended to be ridden from perfect street plazas like Philley's LOVE park to a strange flatrail wallride setup down a dirty back alley. Through riding like this you end up experiencing all the peculiar people and things that go on, and end up travelling to places you'd never normally end up and meeting people from all aspects of life.
I find stuff like Mark Webb to be a bit of a visual overload, and the idea of them sticking an extra tailwhip into a combo just gets a bit boring (and I also dislike the huge corporate and energy drink side of it). I'd much rather watch someone float through a perfectly dug set of trails or blast the biggest gap at a huge concrete park. Quality over quantity.
These different riding styles also lend themselves to different editing styles. I prefer the slightly out of the box and creative editing styles of Charlie Crumlish, Bob Scerbo and Mike Mastroni. Plus I enjoy the glimpses into things they've experienced whilst riding other cities.
Don't take this as me dismissing other riding styles, it's just my preference and if me sharing some of these videos lets other people share my enjoyment then my posting in here is worthwhile.
