I think the new bicycle chat of chat thread is great.

I've just put the 'What is everybody up to ...' thread on ignore. I was hardly reading it, anyway. Three pages per day ...

I just find the number of posts enormous and impossible to follow. I know that's a bit rich coming from me, but I've actively tried to post less recently.

I'm just grumpy because I had a 'little lie down' at 6 and only woke up at 11. Perhaps that should go in the thread you are ignoring?

A thread for me! this is my first post, found this place to find out more about fixed wheel, just had my mountain bike stolen, I built it myself from bits, it took me 6 months and 6 weeks to get it stolen.... This time round I am done with MTB, want to build a single speed, felt this would be a good place to look. Feel free to heckle my ironic addition to this thread, it has been a pleasure to join in!

oz, I see your point....Thought the irony of joining in a thread about new members would provide some small seed of amusement for those of you who have grown tired of the 'newbie' thread / post, full of irrelevence and ignorance. At least I delivered on one of those!

Ha. I did have a slight inkling... But then I do miss/ruin most of the jokes which I come across on my travels.
