  • don't worry guys...tomorrow I will be able to post my thread with all my questions and me out of here.......My bike was stolen last week.....all I want is to fix up an old heap so I can ride again.

You can all go back to your clicky little social group and I can ride the streets again.......For some reason I had it it in my silly little head that cyclists were a decent friendly easy going bunch......My bad.

    Cliquey

  • Again with the stirring.
You still haven't acknowledged our help or even said it was useful or not what you were after.
You're more intent on getting a rise out of the "unfriendly cyclists".
But I'm sure everything will be alright once you're out of your nappies, especially with your attitude to people providing assistance. Doesn't bother me.. my post count loves..

  • get a room guys

We'd moved on, quite happily. Then you posted that ^
    So what did you expect?
Best course of action on this forum, like the actress said to the bishop, is to ease yourself in at first!

^ Good to see you took my friendly advice.

Do you feel better for that now?

  • I was going to PM those but I CAN'T you judgemental liitle prick. I have to wait 48 hours.

On every toher forum I have joined, in order to seek advice which I didn't find via search, I have been allowed to post a thread with an appropriate title which graps the attension of those who actually genuinly like helping others in the community.

Is it really my fault that I can't actually do that here until tommorrow?

The goldtec is too expensive. As is the surly. and the other one was for 135mm....maybe I am missing something here. A zenith/formula one is the kind of price range I can afford. But it appears that I may have to change the axle.....And then I realised that maybe it isn't a 130mm spacing. The frame is round a mates and he said it was 130mm but I don't think he measured it....I think it only had 5 gears at the back so it could acutally be 120mm....which I am hoping for......but I have loads more questions which I want to put in a thread whicxh is titled appropriatly. not a fucking nursery full of old timers who only care for post counts and rep points which they seem to obtain my flaming the newbie.

If my bike hadn't been stolen ( now the person who did that is truly a cunt, then I wouldn't be here. One kick in the teeth to another.....well sorry if i dont bend over and let you pump me up the arse so you can obtain some kudos.

Are we all feeling the love?
    I know I am.

  • Cans we keeps him George - I likes im, he talks funny and screams and shouts…

I'm not little, what happened to your big bold statements about 'knowing people' and 'judging people'?

Which part of 'this isn't like every other forum' didn't you grasp? There are rules. Try following them.

And now you start posting some useful information that might help get you an answer instead of your usual toss.. good to see you finally working it all out.. wasn't too hard was it?

I think you'd be better of with google. It doesn't answer back and won't get you into a little tizzy like you are now.

Get a ruler and measure the dropouts for sure, then we can progress with your bike problem. Your other issues should be dealt with by a professional :)

  • Is she cleaning the windows?

  • 'Cleaning pipes' more like..

  • Lovely legs. No, not you hippy.

  • she seems to be tinkering with his glove compartment.

  • btw don't mean to wade in on someone else's tiff but TfL you are being astonishingly boring, whether hippy is trying to goad you or not.

  • Do you think Transport for London is the driver? You can imagine the conversation;

    "How much for unprotected?"
    "£50"
"You're having a fucking laugh aren't you bitch"
"There's no need to be rude"
"Fuck you, judging me like that. Bitch"

  • Very good andyp.

  • Hi,
I'm new to this forum, and apparently I am supposed to post in this section to start with, so I thought I'd start by introducing myself:
My is Sam Doman, I'm 19 years old and I'm currently studying at Portsmouth Uni in term time (I know that's not quite in London...)
I love bikes, I ride a BMX, a 26" trials bike and I've owned a pretty vast collection of road racers, xc racers (singlespeed, naturally), a fixie or two and some crazy home made choppers in the last few years.
My current project is a fixie with a twist. Something a little different, so watch this space!
I'm a bit of an engineer at heart (studying marine technology at uni), and I really enjoy designing and fabricating my own little parts. I can also weld and braze and have built a couple of frames.
Bikes pretty much rule my life, and I think I get the most enjoyment out of the simplicity of my fixie.

  • I was going to post a link to home-built www.littlefishbicycles.com, covering the engineering, fixed AND marine aspects in one hit.. but her site seems to be down. :(
    Welcome.

  • Thanks, I'll try and take a look when the site's up and running again. Are they amphibious bikes? Sounds interesting!
Having read the 'advice for new members' section, I apologise for calling my fixed wheel bike a 'fixie'. My bad.

  • Aussies use 'fixie' so I don't mind. All the locals on here though arc up about it..

Little Fish was a chick back in Oz who built some bikes herself. Nevermind.

  • 'Fixie' isn't as toe-curling as 'my bad'.
    Welcome, btw. [/BANTER]

  • My bad, I should have mentioned that.
