  • No-one called you a cunt.

  • I suspect that if someone walked into the bar wearing a sign saying "I am a cunt" I might.

If you come onto this forum wearing a sign saying "Transport for London", you should expect some abuse. Are you connected with Transport for London? If so, expect even more abuse. If not, change your name.

    Trans = Man Utd shirt.

  • Platini, consider yourself repped.

  • 'newbies that keep out spammers'

    I'm all for this initiative.

  • TFL - there was a spate of nobbers just trying to sell Deeeeveeeeedeeeees and the such and also smartarses doing post 1 post 2 to get out of the nursery period and they were deleted for being Joey Deacons

VB has been an incredibly laidback and non-invasive gruppenleader

It's more about trying to dissuade spammers, and trolls - So of course you'd have no problems then…

  • It doesn't bother the rest of us newbies. Use the search, everything you could possibly need to know has already received lots of coverage. Seek and ye shall find.

Why are you so worried about other people being called cunts? Are you the second coming?

  • ^ relax dude, this is a very friendly and social forum.

  • I like the smooth and silky manner that you're introducing yourself TFL

  • well having read the thread it would appear that quite a few in the community have abused the system somewhat.......Maybe if you are going to have a nursery for newbies then it should be just that, for newbies.

That would be really helpful. newbies ask newbies questions/say hello to other newbies. Our collective bikes would be truly fucked.

I am struggling to see what you are harping on about.

You can still go onto other posts and add comments. You don't even have to post anything in the nursery.

  • This isn't 'any other forum'. It's run by Dictator Dave the way he likes it and unless you wanna start your own lfgss forum you kinda have to play by his rules. We do.

What's your question anyway? Surely it would have been easier to ask it than complain about the nature of the forum? Googling probably would've saved you some time and grief.

  • I really want to rep you right now Hippy. Unfortunately those days are gone. So instead I'm sending over my best midget with a six pack of Westmalle for you. Enjoy :)

@TFL - If you're looking for a fight go to a boxing forum. If you want to ask a question, ask away. There's lots of knowledgeable people on here that would only be to happy to help.

    Cheer Archi! :)

    I try.

  • I'm sure there are as long as I don't have an opinion of my own hey!!

    Thanks Archi, nice one :)

    What's your fucking question?

  • No, I'm an angry hippy. The 'hippy' has nothing to do with hippies or peace or any of that bullshit. Long story that I'll not bore you with.

Do you have a question or are you just here to stir?

you worried he is stealing your role?

  • So your not a real hippy then. Are you one of those commercial hippies?

Real hippies are commercial. They've always been the biggest bunch of sell-out cunts on Earth, masquerading as do-gooders*.

Even Sid Vicious said, "never trust a hippy" - if a twat like that can work it out, anyone should be able to.

*Australian ones are something else entirely.

  • you worried he is stealing your roll?

now that would really worry hippy

  • now that would really worry hippy

They wouldn't be the first person I've beaten to death with a ciabatta..

  • No I am here to learn about bikes :) Mine was stolen last week. I have a couple of old road bikes that were given to me. I want to convert one to single/fixed. I havn''t ridden fixed so I am a little bit reserved but as I am going to be in London for another 3 years then I need to sort some transport out. I want to know what options are available to be in terms of rear hubs. The spacing is 130 on the frame and I have only found the Miche Primato which can accommodate, but this is a flip flop. Seeing as this will be my first FG I was thinking a flip/flop fixed/free would make more sense. I will probably get a Mavic CXP-33 rim and was thinking 36 hole as I weight 14 stone and have fucked enough rear wheels on my mountain bike to know its worth the extra weight. I just don't know what hub?!?!

on-one 135 mm fixed fixed hub

  • The spacing is 130 on the frame

Goldtec (well rated on here) can choose 135mm and goes up to 36H.

Well, why didn't you say so?

Add some spacers, perhaps a longer axle if required.
There's probably other hubs that will suit (White Industries and Phil spring to mind)

I also weigh more than you and have never had trouble with 32h wheels on the road. I've actually gone lower and lighter.

  • on-one 135 mm fixed fixed hub

Better to space the hub rather than stretch the dropouts, shirley?

  • 5 post rule

It doesn't stop you posting a question in here does it?
Instead of complaining about how the forum is run, why didn't you simply post your question?
Now you've posted it and have a few people providing answers. Bugger me, who woulda thunk it?!
