sorry to here that, i had my bike ruined by some low life people a while back now, sadly it was in a bad enough state to clean up and use again, so i replaced it.
+1 to what ed said, save your self the pain, maybe cheer yourself up and treat yourself to a new set?

• #29
I would, but I have jut bought a new macbook. If you know anyone selling a cheap set of wheels (nudge) I might be able to!

Shit James! Sorry to hear that man. Heal up soon.
Fucking lil cunts man...Well done for not letting them steal your bike.I think it was a gd idea not using your d-lock as it could have been worse, imagine if u started flapping ur lock and hit one really bad, they could have got more agressive against u and even ur gf.
I am glad u are ok man

I'm saving the D-lock for when im on my own.... im going to take my wheels into a paint shop to get them stripped for the moment. so walking into work for me for this week. if i dont, look out for a flyer with black and white "custom" wheels and pedals.
makes me so angry though! plots becoming a dictator, banning cars, yardie kids and more cycle friendly routes.

i want a mac book!

haha, I managed to get mine for 400, as my powerbook is on its last legs, pick the new one up tomorrow. If you get a used powerbook, don't get the 17" as it has a design fault where the screen goes!
-
• #34

Mavix open pro plus on-one hubs, cheap and reliable hubs, much lighter than the old wheelset too.

how much? Just spoken to the couple with the narrow boat from last night. A lot of paint on their boat and had more trouble during the night, now heading west as they have had enough of this area, theu have only just got the boat ffs!

• #39
Sorry to hear this bad news. Sixteen guys on one man and his girlfriend is cowardly indeed. Not that one man attacking another is OK...
-
• #40
I fucking hate stories like this..
when will people start admitting there's a problem with society in this country and stop making excuses? and no, ffs I'm not being "daily mail" about anything. it ain't right that this should go on. period.
best wishes to James and his lady.

Cheers RPM, and i know what you mean. the attitude I was getting of the two very good police last night was that they wanted to say alot of things but feared being un-politically correct...
-
• #42
Can you still get those On One wheels? £100, fixed fixed, come with two lock rings and work fine. I've been running mine for a while for commuting and they seem great (in the sense that I don't really think about them).

things like this and a lot worse happen in the majority of the world most of the time. people are shit to each other. move on.
-
• #44
bollocks. how about people try to be a little less shit to each other?
you got a bad attitude, boy

i think i'm just being realist. obviously it would be nice for people to be less shit to each other but it isn't going to happen. people don't live together in large groups particularly well. if you think our country is a more developed country and this is not an uncommon occurance, what is is like in less developed countries with more poverty, more social problems, less domestic security?
plus the wars going on..

I think RPM was saying that there is maybe a little too much Political correctness and we should not stereotype, however, time and time again, its the same demographic group.

and seeing as one of the yardie style fucks nearly pulled a knife last night as well...
Marry her, she's a keeper!
On a more serious note. Glad you're ok and have kept hold of your bike!
