to be fair roxy has probably spent ages sorting that way out - maybe she has spent that time cos she worked out it was the best way to do it...?
I can see the sense in it. There is also a massive potential for underdog shockers this way..

balh blah blah....
Anyone who wants to offer suggestions as to whom should play whom, is welcome to come over tonight or tomorrow before polo for a cuppa and a butcher's and check out my current line up.
so you have already sorted out who is playing who? Hmmm, how very impartial and unbiased!

How can you possibly rate teams you have never seen play before? Or teams that have never actually played together as their team entered in the tournament?
This is a really silly and unfair way of sorting out teams
instead of just criticising, why dont you come up with a better idea you fucking whinger.
i think roxy's done the best with the information she has. point based ranking system and give benefit of the doubt to the unknown.

living asleep - try reading the thread. i already have. i dont know you so calling me rude names is a bit harsh.

the line up would have to be decided by someone who has seen every team play and is completely impartial.there is no one that could do that.
-
• #32
as far as i can tell, roxy has answered you suggestions with appropriate responses in her long post. and you were still complaining about it being unfair.
how would you do it? a completely random draw? so in round 1 you would have teams ranked 1 and 2 whomever they may be, play each other and teams 18 and 19 in the final? which is a definite possibility if it was a completely random draw.
roxy's way is how a lot of tournaments are played, especially with a lot of unknown factors.

what exactly are you trying to insinuate here?

i'm just in it for the free saddle and because the south london gangsters have my cat.

I do 100% agree in principal with the seeding. But as far as I know Roxy has seen only ONE London team who have entered as their current team line up play. She hasn't seen any of the three teams that my house makes up play as their teams. ...But I'm sure she has a fairly good guess of our abilities!!
A RANDOM PUBLIC draw based on this system is fairer rather than a draw that she has already compiled, (especially as her boyfriend is competing!). That is what I was saying.
Please don't be so rude to call me names.

Let's face it, we know who's good. BAD, RMY, Unknown, Moving Targets, Rollapaluza, Fab French Fuckers, the Oakenden lot, Manchester and Oxford A-teams...
We know there's quite a few teams from London who are just in it for a saddle and a laugh. Being a part of the community, being involved. They've been playing a few months and hopefully after having such a good time this past couple weeks leading up to the tourney, their skill levels have improved and they'll stick around for the next year or more. There's always the next tournament...
Basically the seeding Roxy has come up with is to allow at least more than one game to those that deserve to play but don't have the skills to win the entire thing.
BTW Hops, how would you feel if Sezza and the Lezzas drew their first match against Who's BAD?
Or if Who's BAD drew their first match against The Unknown and were knocked out of the tourney at 9am? -

all i found was a ripped box of kite kat and this.

I would absolutely love it.
Please read the thread above, I was complaining that an impartial draw had already been made. This is what I think is unfair.

does little bunny want an apology? im sorry evil little bunny. i didnt mean to call you names (actually i did, but ill stop now)
i thought we had already established that we dont want to see teams from out of town or teams with some actual skill out at 9am? I would also personally like to see the 2 best teams fight it out at in the final. the only thing a random draw will do is increase the possibility of crap games (the best playing the best early on; the worst teams making the finals; out of towners being done at 9am, etc.)
giving benefit of the doubt to the unknowns and giving them 2 points rather than 3 is also the fairest as you dont want some really good unknowns coasting through the tourney via low seeding.
And honestly, id be much more offended if someone accused me of trying to fix a tournament rather than being called a whinger.

then you won't miss him. does he like ski masks and sawnoffs?
-

how about any teams who are in london play a game at one of the many polo gatherings and roxy can rate you on that, it makes it a little fairer
-
• #45
how about we just trust roxy, turn up, play, to the best of our ability, and don't stand about moaning that it's unfair.
that's my plan anyhow.
