Sounds like you're grips are fucked, take them off if I were you. In fact you might also need to take off your handlebars, stem and saddle, and all of your clothes. Either that or risk serious injury.

only use hairspray to remove and insall it acts as a lube but drys solid clean your grips thourly dry them and spray a little hairspray on grips and bars push em on leave 4 a while if dosent hold youre gripsare fucked

I've got the same problem as the bloke with the loose grips. but mine are looser. I bet. is it a good idea to 'wad' the bars by wrapping insulation tape around them, then spray hair spray? Or just loads of hair spray. Or just loads of tape? Is this a question for Gok Wan?

stop being a tight bastard and go buy grips that fit. go to tescos they've got them from less than 3 quid.

It's too late now anyway. I've bought grip after grips and bar after bar. My bedrooms a bar/grip warehouse at the moment. i'm sticking with what i've got, so i have to adapt. But lock on grips? mmm

hairspray will grip until it doesn't at which point it'll stop gripping entirely. then you have to start again. spraymount is more tacky, like gum, it'll grip but give a little, without losing it's grippyness.
