  • I personally guarantee dry roads and good beer! :-) What time are you guys at EJ? (I may go riding earlier and meet you there)

  • fasteddy, rendesvous at EF at 2015. look out for sam who will be tipping up in a mini.

no worries FBR. next time for sure.

looks like the day is clearing up nicely

  • Thanks Jonny, right so who's up for riding back too? ;-)

  • My mate Sarah Wilmshurst informs me that it'll be fine later on.

And Jonny, I'll be tipping up in a black Golf tonight. The Mini has a leaky fuel tank at the mo, if you drive it for more than about 5 mins you start to get giddy on the fumes.

  • proper cunt of a morning. came in on train to work cuz weather was atrocious and have no where to dry off at school. now it looks like being a good day so i'm off home after work to pick up the bike etc. if it rains after that fuck it i'm doing it no matter what. see you all there.

  • nice one clintsmoker. will be heading home after work just to get rid of the day bag and slip into something a bit more comfortable. do you wanna spin by mine en route to waterloo or shall i just catch ya there just after 1900 hours Zulu

  • nice one Gav, remember you from the brighton ride now dude.

all systems go. all systems go! sam, i know you are gonna check this. we are on. barring a sudden massive thunderstorm between now and 1900 zulu

  • It's 1 a.m. just got back and showered. First report on the ride. Awesome as usual. FastEddy set the pace and we all held on to his coat tails with various levels of success. Got round fast enough to get an earlier train and that included beers at the top of lieth hill. Clear weather all the way, top climbs and some decent descending. nice one lads.
well done gav for turning the76.

  • Sounds like a good ride, well done! Weather looked to be clearing up so I went to Hillingdon. About 10 minutes before the race started there was a massive storm, Paris-Roubaix style. Rode through it, and was doing ok until three laps to go I punctured. Next time! (to both)

  • That was great. A perfect evening for rolling the Surrey lanes with some really nice fellas. Two pints and two mars bars for dinner, please don't wake me this afternoon!

  • well done guys. got home about 1930 and thought about rushing out to earlsfield station to catch your train. was prob too late and started pouring down so just held back. hope it wasnt too wet last night where you were cos it rained down hard for a good hr or so from my end

  • I personally guarantee dry roads and good beer! :-) What time are you guys at EJ? (I may go riding earlier and meet you there)

    ...as promised!

  • I had a rough time on my climb last night.. my legs still feel Devil Ride.. yeah.. those steps up at Ealing Tube were quite tough. I really should walk them geared next time rather than fixed legged.

  • That was a great ride - thanks fellas. Got home by 1230 with a tailwind all the way from Croydon. Bright times.

Then woke up at 0530 a.m. with a dodgy stomach and have spent most of the morning within 30 seconds of a toilet. Dark times.

  • Not enough beer at the Plough buddy......told you.. HTFU!

haha yeah cheers, yeah not a climbing ratio(!)
highlights would have to be the first mouthful of lager at the plough and second last long descent - brilliant. or the last descent...
