Penguin Colours

I'd like to repaint my frame in the same colours as a Penguin Classic- cream and orange.

The idea is that the frame tubes are cream, the tube junctions (where the lugs would be if it had any) are orange.

If possible I would like to put a Penguin logo on for the headbadge, and have "Death of a Salesman" written in the correct font down the downtube.

Does anyone know what the correct colour reference number/pantone thing/etc would be for the two colours, and where I might best source the paint?

need to find someone with a RAL colour book and try and match it from that

If you get the wrapper, open it out. In the corner theres usually some printing codes & stuff. Never paid attention to what they mean though.

If thats not useful, just do it by eye I dont think anyone cares how much your bike looks like a penguin wrapper!

According to a 1947 Lorilleux & Bolton colour standard, the Penguin orange is M.D.60211

The orange is Pantone 1505, according to Penguin.

1505 is about right by my eye RAL is 2008 (bright red orange) for the bright orange colour... you found the creamy colour tomasito?

I have to admit that I was going to DIY this- where would you recomend that I get the paint in Londons famous The London?

Also I was going to purchase a pre-chromed fork for much less dollar than that- my fork is not worth keeping!

Seems to be black, white and 1505, not cream.

The white might well age to a cream colour?

If so that is what I would be after- which I understand makes this more difficult!
