Epic ride, + rep for Sam and thanks for organising, hope you got home alright.
Awesome full day of cycling and banter. Really glad I did it geared though, base fitness not there yet :s
Great weather too, great peeps and a great route. Managed to escape the monsoon in London's famous London so all was good.
I hope others have better photos than my camera phone effort.

Crap. Forgot to thank the finder of the Dolphin, pkm pirate, many thanks, although I'm still certain it sounds more like a chippy than a pub.
Nice vid, diapo :0)
For the record, despite living half way between Canterbury and London, I rocked in probably later than some at ten to eleven. Wish I'd bought more beer, I'd pretty much run out before I left Ashford. As for Westies, you're probably right jonny....

Glad the pub did the job - I've spent more than a few hours in that garden...
The ride looks TOO good! Well done y'all.
Can't believe I couldn't do it. Still working. I think my bike hates me now - it's seriously neglected at the moment. -

After an amazing day of pedalo madness on Saturday, I rode down to Greenwich with no intention (whatsoever) of ending up in Canterbury. My Plan was to do about 20 or 30 miles and then bail.
The miles went by and the time to jump ship never seemed to arrive.
Huge thanks to Sam for the route (and jam tarts), but also thanks to everyone on the ride for waiting for me at the top of hills (sorry we didn't get to the pub sooner). Jonny and hillbilly, there were many times towards the end where you just kept me going. The last 5-6 miles were sheer agony.
I'll stop thanking people now, because it'll start sounding like an Oscar speech, but I'm so glad I came across this forum and met a wonderful bunch of human beings (who happen to ride bikes as well. -
