  • mmmmmm Pizza Tuesday

  • bah, missing out for the fourth week in a row. bad times!

  • Fail

  • I just carry a picture of Bryce in my hart.

    ???

  • It was in my wallet, I took it out to stare at Bryces svelt profile and that barstard ate it. He now lives in one of the plant on out fire place.

  • Can we book tables this week please, I like out little room ;)

  • its that time of the year again! im coming up the hill.
also it appears to be smoking weather.

  • I'll be there too, Josh keeps making sly comments. Need to try and buy a smaller sprocket because I don't fancy pushing 80GI up the hill.

    Good luck with that.

Looks a nice day for it, I should be putting in an appearance later on.

  • I went there yesterday for dinner with the old man. They said that the area was already booked.

Also, there were some really dodgy chaps about last night on the hight street. I looked my bike up to get cash before going to the gate house. Just as I was walking towards the pub I noticed one of them wandering over to my bike. I changed corse back to my bike and he turned arround back to his freinds. As I rode past he two of then got into the road to cut me off but there was a car behind me making the bike jacking a bit more chalanging. Bring locks tonight chaps. It ssems as though the riff raff have made it up the hill. Cunts.

Ha! Schoolboy mistake there. I'm thinking one thing, saying another. Maybe I'm going senile.

  • Fuck's sake, that sort of thing's not supposed to happen in Highgate.

  • Anyone about early-ish at the flask (6.15 ish), or elsewhere for cheeky splinter action, cant make tonight, but a swift one on the way home would work a treat.

    +1

    Vigilante discipline?

Should be up there for around then, or maybe SA - JD?

Southampton Arms for a swift ale works a treat.

  • i think i could make the SA, finish at 6pm, so would be there by 6.30pm? would mean taking on the "hill" and possibly embarrassing myself though.

but! good/bad news. yay new brake pads (kool stop salmon) came today ending my de facto brakeless period of a week. checked my pads last tues as brake wasn't working too good...only a mm before the holder! so that was relagated to emergency use, and turns out i didn't need it during the week but brakeless seems unecessarily annoying/dangerous. don't debate this. but was a bitch going down haverstock hill in the mornings, too slow. the bad news is, i was tightening my chainring bolts and one of them snapped. that has never happened to me before, cheap tat.

  • Holloway Cycles is your friend. Needed some last week and they were there for me, even in a powercut.

  • I changed my brake pads the other day, all the rain we have been having just destroys them. On close inspection, one side of the rim is scored quite deeply, I guess one of the pads must have picked up a bit of stone. Most odd as I dont really remember any particularly harsh grinding noises.

  • I'll be there too, Josh keeps making sly comments. Need to try and buy a larger sprocket because I don't fancy pushing 80GI up the hill.

You know, when you're pushing, the gear inches don't actually make that much difference. :)

That's what the locals have been saying ever since North Drinks started. :)

  • You know what I meant Schick!

  • scored quite deeply,

the brake pad wears out the rim aswell. a mate wore his down so you could see little holes on the braking surface... ride like this for long enough and theyll pop...theres more than one reason couriers or those doing a lot of miles ride fixed sans brake.

  • ^er, tourers use rim brakes? two of 'em? your rims won't get worn thru (worn when the line e.g. indent all the way round on mavic rims, just some dots on others are gone) that fast unless you are using crappy brake pads/never clean your pads.

  • key phrase: "a lot of miles"
