RPM on Saturday night was fun and good to see everyone as ever. Our visit was a bit brief as my mum was babysitting and we didnt want to leave her too late.
Helen and I had been at Belgo for some food on the way down, and I think the trappist ale must have kicked in, as I only had a couple more pints at RPM and I was rather pissed by the time I got home!
Brun - was it that obvious that I had said to Helen "Ian is the bloke with the massive ginger beard"?
I thnk Arvy was basking in his new found forum superstar status following his leadership, navigation and hillclimbing on the GSIAD - well done that man!
See you all up the hill tomorrow.

Only 4 did it up Swain's and one of them was so delirious he lost his sight! Sasmon, I believe you called one of my routes a "backpassage special"; ~~natural leaders sometimes rise ~~... but I carried the whole of Norths on my narrow shoulders, I could never have done it without my regular training up the hill and this is why *if you come to Norths you do the hill. *I'm not looking at anyone here. [JD]
The Greyhound (Wests) is incrediby cosy however; I'm convinced it has made them far too metropolitan and soft.
