Shininigans - I seemed to have done something to both my shins, my very own google diagnosis is that I have some sort of anterior muscle strain causing swelling and general pain in the shins.
I think the two laps of Swains on Tuesday when not really warmed up were probably something to do with it, and the renewed enthusiasm for skidding earlier in the week.
Anyway, general consensus talking to the sporty people in the office is "having gone form no excursive your entire life, you have been riding your bike almost every day for 9 months - sometimes you just need to give it a rest"
I fear this may be good advice, so no cycling over the weekend for me (well not too much).
What sort of time are the North’s contingent heading to RPM? I’m going to drag Helen along for some North’s carnage.

Shin splints? Unusual from cycling. Hopefully it's just a minor strain, put you feet up for the weekend, perhaps some anti-inflammatories but most importantly you need to take a good muscle relaxant, like beer, in high dose at regular intervals.

Just what the doctor ordered!
How is the collarbone coming along?
-
• #6515
This time tomorrow it will be almost time to think about what time to go to party time

Seems to be coming along ok. More irritating than painful, could probably loose the sling but it is useful as a "keep away" sign for the rush hour tube commute. (Christ I miss the bike, public transport sucks, doctors are far too cagey to guess at when I should be able to get back on the bike).

Take the day off work and do the GSIAD, aggressively.

Good for the heart too.
