What sort of time are you thinking of setting off, and how long would you imagine this takes. If leaving earlyish to arrive for lunch, I might be able to persuade the wife to jump on the train with the bambino and meet me there - thus making it a day out for her as well. Normaly she doesnt need to much persuading to go to Cambridge for the day, as she went to Uni there.

I'd love to join you all tonight but am still without wheels... just need a 27.2 seatpost and saddle (pref Brooks!) to complete a build... don't suppose anyone going to North drinks tonight might have one or the other (or both) to sell/trade/donate and help me get back on the road?

JD had shitloads of Rolls saddles advertised a week or so back (leather, but nicer than brookes imo), send him a pm and see if he's coming to norths tonight, he was selling seatposts too but not sure of the diameter... -

yeah yeah, sorry guys, i am all good now, did 17 miles tonight so feeling good.
didnt want to give you scottish/mexican/swains flu.
still havent ordered a new bike....arg.
I am willing to take the ahem less fit new people up past hampstead for an easier ride. (nothing to do with the fact i would need a complete granny 42/20 gear to get up the damn hill)
