Tomorrow will see me in South Kensington around 5 pm.
Rather than rush home, (i.e. procede slowly along the Uxbridge Road),
if you guys are meeting up,
I could haul my aged bones up whichever hill hosts your favoured pub.

We currently favour the Wrestlers in Highgate, I'm not usually there before 7:30 although others may get there sooner.

Journey home was surprisingly simple, if grim.

Down that hill, onto the A1, then the North Circular at Henly's Corner.
'Stay on the North Circular for 6 miles' stated the satnav.
Picked up the A40 at Hangar Lane, for an enduring late night urban motorway experience.

Don't say you weren't warned what turning right would entail! My choice would be to head south into town and back out west again, it's a little longer but a lot nicer.

I agree entirely,
but the grim route had the advantage of needing no navigation.
On a bike with more resistant tyres, the obvious route would have been,
down to Camden and pick up the canal round to Greenford and Ruislip Road home.

Probably if I relied on @rhowe for directions.
