Northern drinks needs to be tuesday and a place thats easy for others to get in and out of. i think a little closer to town would succeed a little better... but lets see.. i am heading up tonight post js
I think it's on par with the other venues as far as distance from central London goes. Getting up the hill is tricky for some but it's not exactly that hard either. For anyone who lives south it's miles away, but then so is south for anyone who lives north.
I can recommend the Princess Alexandra in Crouch End (as mentioned earlier in the thread) which has less hills to get to it and a good beer garden and an offy next door for the sneaky cheapness.
Let's see though.

good luck with this guys, it should be great. i'll definitely pop up one day, if i ever get a friday free.
as for the tuesday debate, i thought i'd wade in - seeing as i instigated central drinks. it was always meant to be an early doors night for people who work round there, before hopping off to tricks, the ballet, a loaf of bread or maybe north drinks. i'd say go for tuesday and leave the lamb to be the most clashing drinks on the circuit - it'll survive and the JS on fridays will too.

cheers Mashton,
Will be good to put some faces to names. After tonight I reckon Tuesday would be the better option. For me anyway, lol. Hope to see you there sometime. -

the flask is fucking great and it's proper North... lord stanley is also good and more accessible, though only North Central really...

yeah I do feel that North Drinks should be proper North London. Camden maybe NW1 for example, but it is hardly North. And if we are gonna do it, we may as well make it a great safe pub with loads of fit, rich birds. Not that it matters to me much ( the birds part that is ) being a married man and all!

It's going to be hard to do that when you're the only one there.
Get you biiitch.. had to admit that made me laugh
I'll ask VB to change the thread to Tuesday. This friday it's on, next week a massive relaunch with even more excitement.
Thats early Davey - i'll try to get there for 7ish

Lansdowne / Princess of Wales - fit posh birds, wide empty car free streets (for Death TT).
I drew out the green route as a good Death TT run - and then realised that David Miliband lives on Edis Street and there are two armed policemen permanently stationed outside his house (with semi-automatic G36Ks !!!!) - so it might not be a good idea to come flying passsed, pissed and on an unfeasible small bike.
The pink route would also be cool, all the streets around there are practically car free.
What do you reckon ???

i met one of the best looking women i have met in the Lansdowne. shaved head and eyes that could break a man.
Primrose hill has huge wide roads but you run the risk of not spotting a wafer thin model crossing or crashing into the fringe of a jazz-emo-hipster
-
• #294
If there are no hills and very few cars to negotiate . . . can we still call it the 'Death' TT??
Good location tho, if the sun is out there is the option of the offie and then Primmy hill itself, me and Peaches hang out there all the time don'tcha know!

Chalcot Sq has pavement and cobbles so a dash of Death there. mix that with armed guards and Gabes hiding in random places ready to happy slap and that dash becomes a strong hint

Excellent night lads, see you all next Tuesday.
I think that the venue should remain unchanged, north drinks should be north. It would be like having easts in Old Street or souths in Waterloo. The hills make that first pint all the sweeter.

Good drink lads. Wil be there tuesday for a couple but have to head down to the Boogaloo after that. After Devils dyke yesterday the hills will be nothing.
I've heard if you drill out the bottom of the pedalo it saves weight which will make you faster.
