i kinda gave up on cycle computers. Because i have one gear i generally cycle at the same speed depending on how tired i am. Also you kinda know how far you are gonna ride then you plan your ride.

I bought a cheap one from Tesco (£9.97 wireless with cadence sensor) & used it once on the London to Brighton charity ride. The only good thing from it was my top speed of 42mph with a maximum cadence of 194rpm down Ditchling. Last time I saw it, it was under a load of motorcycle tyres at work. It may still be there.

I never said my feet were attached. Actually, just used an online calculator thingy and at 42mph on 48x19 my cadence should have been 212rpm. At 194rpm on that gear I would have been doing 38.6mph. Which do I believe?

I think this proves once and for all that cycle computers are fucking useless. I might burn the tyres that are on top of the piece of shit.

Same with my Garmin.

I do the North London Loop a lot and it has told me my longest distance was the day I forgot to turn the computer on before I hit Alley Palley, which is odd.

Better off just sacking it all off and staying at home.

On the plus side of life, I only wasted just under a tenner on mine.
