I see you Simon... thirsty?
Must have just missed this post. I managed a swift couple in Primrose Hill (unofficial NoT).
Does anyone want to do a really early ride tomorrow? Back before 9.30.
I was thinking of just heading north for an hour, then turning around and coming back.

What you thinking for the ride Simon? Tempted, but really depends on when the blacktie event I'm photographing finishes.
Also, in relation to pigfarmers post a while ago, I saw this and though JD would like it. Plus it's a proper catchy tune. You'll be humming it for ages.

up for a ride tomorrow, but at human hours! I'm going out tonight and I don't want to have to leave the bed before 9.

Wrong part of Asia for me! But thanks for the thought!

Has anyone got a bike i could borrow with a freewheel to fit someone 5ft2in or close to (no idea what frame size that would be) on either the saturday or sunday of the bank holiday weekend? Claire is thinking about getting a bike but wants to take one out for the day to see whether she enjoys it first. Obviously would pay for any damage.
Beer for anyone that can help.
Cheers.

Brompton's free...
Either that, or Saadat's about that size.

Cheers.
Has Saadat got anything with a freewheel? Claire's got scars from riding Sarah's fixed so don't think she'll be trying that again for a while. Admittedly the fact she was drunk and the bikes too big for her may have contributed to crash but don't think she'd be keen. Will drop him a line. -

I still haven't worn my Norths T shirt yet...the shame of it.
I feel like it must be worn for the first time in a/the pub - may get an airing tomorrow night.

North Drinks is at the lovely Flask Tavern in Highgate.
After a relaxing ride up the hill North drinkers are treated to a fine selection of beers in the lovely setting of the commity room in the winter and the huge garden in the summer. I recomend at least 5 pints of Disovery.

Feel free to join in. Contact Arvy (leader elect)
!!!!!!!!NORTH DRINKS AT THE FLASK!!!!!!!
I feel this needs bringing up as a community.
May I draw your attention to the 2nd last line and the words written after Arvy's name in brackets.
'Leader Elect'
Barak Obama, Ban Ki-Moon, Maggie Thatcher; these are/were leaders elect. Not some 2-bit faux-democratic regime like that that Norths became after Baron Pinky Von Mobbsalot was forced into exile after the military led coup of Arvy and his Cronies.
As individuals of this community our rights have been violated by this whole affair. Our right to vote a new leader in, our right to say 'NO' to Arvy, our right to say 'YES' to Norths on Tour!
All of these god (Velocio) given rights have been negated after a slippery fox stole the seat which resides over us all.
I suggest an election for a truely 'elected leader' and I put forward for your consideration Norths Dog.
Here he is (dressed up as an Alsation for some reason) doing his thing with th ladies as usual...

So thats what you do with all your spare time on the internets, look at naked women being 'seduced' by pooches? You should be ashamed/councilled/locked up/registered!!

Stigsy does have a point but I think he is fantasising.
Please compare the picture above...with post 17792
Norths Dog is already a true playa-president (check the tags), however he won't entertain the pigfarmer's piffle

Got a small ladies five speed bike that Claira and I are doing up, sound okay? Is the bank holiday this weekend?

I think NOT for the summer is a great idea. Though as long as we don't just end up in the SA every month.

It's the weekend after this one (28th/29th). If it's going to be ready then and it's ok to borrow that would be awesome and definitely beer worthy. J you still get beer for offering the Brompton, just this sounds like this'll be closer to what Claire would hopefully buy in the end.

Think Norths should always be at the Flask but could do meet up somewhere else for a couple of pints then group ride to the flask. That way still get to see people who don't want to move it & don't end up permanently on tour with no idea what pub we're meant to be at. Could also be good for newcomers instead of compass beers. oh and on nice evenings it's always good to get a few extra miles in!
