Not the most successful ride home last night, I'd just crossed Archway Road and was heading down the hill, then I was in the Wittington with a broken helmet, a sore head and not the faintest idea of who I was.
No serious damage done and most of it's come back now but still no idea of what actually happened.
Be careful, it's still slippy out there.

SHit dude. Hope your ok. Where abouts did it happen? Before the lights? Didnt you leave with us lot? It was slippery out there. Sarah had a spill as well on some slippery cobbles by the winchester (but was all like, fuck you cold hard road, Im ok beehatch) and was ok other than a bit of brusing.

Nah, skipped pizza, stayed at the pub, probably a mistake. Was on the way down towards Crouch End on Shepherds Hill, that roads a bit shit at the best of times. I have the number of the guy who's looking after my bike, have to see if he knows anymore when I go pick it up from him.
Still got a headache and a bit dazed but that's only to be expected, 4 hours of observations by the doc before letting me go so I guess they were satisfied I was fine.
Good to hear Sarah's ok from her spill, obviously made of tougher stuff than me.

Hi Matt - bad luck on the fall - sounds like it was right by my house - let me know if you want me to go and pick up your bike for you - happy to put in my shed until you want it back. Will PM you my number.
Sarah - hope you're not too bruised.
It is REMARKABLY slippy out there - I think the London councils have coated the streets with Teflon based salt this year - some interesting cornering lines on the motorbike this morning.

Matt
Sorry to hear about the spill, glad you're still in one piece. Let me know if you need the bike picked up in a car or anything like that.

I feel your pain Matt! Also couldn't understand what happened (though I didn't lose my memory..I just couldn't quite believe I'd fallen off simply turning a corner)
Your fall sounds horrible. I think I got off lightly! just have a sore hip and shoulder, and it really hurts to raise my left arm. Stupid slippy nasty roads.
Hope you heal up quickly.

Cheers for the offers Mikey and Simon but I think I'll be able just pick it up on the way home tonight and walk it back.
And it wil be walking cos seeing the state of my helmet after that I don't have the balls to ride anywhere till the replacement arrives.

Sorry to hear that, Matt and Sarah!

Have the Whittington worked out yet where all of those injuries come from?

I barely remember getting home last night and I didn't even fall off. Have also had sore head for most of the day. Matt, that Bengal Lancer juice was 5%, didn't notice till I was buying the last pint otherwise might have taken it a bit easier.
Hope the pair of you heal up as fast as you went down. Everyone else take care out there.

Matt, you were incredibly wobbly getting on the bike last night. Really glad to hear you're all right. It sounds nasty.

Beware the Bengal Lancer - knocked me sideways last time I spent a Tuesday night on it.
All gone now - think they only make it in feb and november. Lovely stuff.

The Lancer was slipping down far too well, lovely stuff. The trouble with wobbliness is you have much less chance of catching yourself when things start to slip, not good in the winter.
Picked up the bike and not a scratch on it, guy said I had a car right on my tail and was moving quite fast, thinks I might have been clipped but didn't actually see the fall. I doubt I was. I Was unconcious for about 5 mins. Apparently I snore even when knocked out.

Hope you're okay Matt!
On a side note, why does this video remind me of JD? I think it's the stiff little fingers....

Just started thinking about what to do on NYE and stumbled across this:
http://soundcloud.com/mr-scruff/dj-mix-nye-2009-10
Mr Scruff is playing in Manchester on the 31st - £23 a head!
Result - no champagne on the door or silly dress code either.
