Velocity Deep-V's

those really deep H+sons rims are really flexy though
you can feel them flex on the side by squeezing them with your fingers

they look good but I don't know how strong they are

no they are not flexy they are stiff as fukk....
and the welding on them.....uuuhh la-la, and the finish and the packing....
and they make nice whoosh whoosh sound.........

and no they are not made of cheese cuz im vegan.
and yes i wouldnt freestyle on them. A) I cant freestyle B) i dont think they were made with freestyling in mind or off roading or hoping benches....but then people do that on hed-3, spinergis, zipp's and they werent made for this either

im not being defensive.......i just squeezed them...you can feel them flex........longer surface more flex....shorter spokes in the build less flex in the overall quality?????

and i squeezed them velocitys as well.....they flex

aha the best deep section rims are rigida dp18, the old ones........not the new ones......discontinued unfortuantely as with everything which is/was good......

If it's deep, it's heavier than a decent normal rim. I have no idea which deep profile rim is lighter or heavier than another, nor do I care. They are stiletto heels for bike riders.

I have been considering buying some of those rims to replace the deep Vs on my affinity. It'll look fucking stunning. Then I can use the current rims for my polo/offroad bike.

Has anyone got any experience of buying them from the ebay seller wheelandsprocket? I've worked out with VAT, Duty (at 4.7%) and ParcelForce handling, they will come to £196.

Wheelandsprocket fits hollow Joytech hubs, is it worth me paying the little bit extra and going for a build at BLB who fit solid Formula hubs for £40 extra? I'm about 100 miles away from London so there's no real benefit of me going to collect them...

Weinmann? I don't like the set up he offers for the Velocity's, I'd rather have the Formula hubs. But I'm also willing to wait to see if anyone gets any of those H Plus Son rims.

I'm getting one...
