Alex Cycle in Japan have really nice packaging. Ordered on Thursday, here today. Six days, pretty damn fast from Japan. Highly recommend these guys.

Using the mail means we have a good chance of no duty/clearance delay.
UPS/FedEx/DHL see brokerage fees as a revenue stream, so they check everything. And charge for it.

Parcelforce have a £8 handling fee on anything that incurs vat and/or duty, most international post gets handled by them.

On ordering from Japan, I just got these from Grand Bois. The most expensive coffee cups in my cupboard by about 1000% (€40 for cups & postage, €43 customs & VAT...)
