If all goes to plan, at some point in the near future this will be a garmin 800 out front mount.

Are you going to vacuum bag it, or do you not think that to be needed for a small part which won't be under much load?

How have you made the mould, hoops??
-
• #3359
I'm have machined an alloy mount which will then be attached to the faceplate with grub screws. Will then wrap the whole lot in carbon. No mould.
The alloy mount is strong enough to hold the Garmin, the carbon is mostly for looks, and to sthengthen the bond with the faceplate. -

Finally some Sidi's that fit.
Kinda hitting myself for not getting the SRS version with changable tred. Oh well.

What size are you and are they? Are they the wide version? Look neat.

Lovely looking shoe that.

I made the mistake of getting a set of road Sidi's a while ago, Euro 47, in the evans summer sale... Typical Tim I did no research and didn't know there was a wide verison.
They were too big and too wide so I had to take a considerable hit and flog them on eBay for very little.
These are the normal version and a 46.5 (UK 10.5). I'm usually an 11 bang on, if not 11 and a half so I was a bit apprehensive when they arrive.
None the less they fit like a glove! Relief!

Nice. I have wanted a pair of Sidi's for a while but unsure because i have rather wide feet. Not many places stock them either which makes things tricky.

If you can try some one before you buy!

I think more brands should follow Shimano's RT range of footwear. These are the 'road touring' shoe which takes SPD, looks like a road shoe but has tread to prevent the cleat hitting the floor. Best thing is the tread is solid rubber rather than studs so dont look like MTB shoes.
Really want a Mavic bright yellow shoe like this or a Sidi shoe in bright white.

The right size specialized rime's :)
Excited about wearing them, but won't be cycling again until Thursday :(

got a Moon Comet (bro-in-law got me a £20 wiggle voucher for xmas so added £4 to that). Fuck me that thing is bright. Have deliberately angled it down a notch below level to save from blinding people behind. Best £4 I have spent on this bike.

I like the Comet; it's not just the intensity, I'm pretty sure the broad emitting area is a good thing too. Doesn't seem to drop off much off-axis either, so one click down probably isn't going to spare anybody's retinae
