Got mine off ebay so mine worked out at ~95 which could be worse.
-
• #3203
Yeah, mine worked out a little less from Aspire (but not much). I dodged import duty though. Don't think you'll pay much less for a new CK these days to be honest, especially in *pruple**.

My Raceware Garmin mount has been OK but the chinese ebay versions now are sturdy as fuck and half the price.

Also some £7 Chinese generic SPD SL cleats arrived today which probably won't kill me.

Yeah, I've had stuff from them that I've been stung on and stuff that I haven't. They marked this one down (though I didn't ask them to).

Do you sometimes get an invoice for tax after the fact?
I had a package a couple of days ago that came with no duty to be paid at the time.
-
• #3209
Not happened to me yet.

Impossible for them to do it for private imports, that's why they hold your parcels to ransom.
-
• #3212
^I've had Fedex try it on but just ignored it and it went away

I hope you didn't give them any money. Just use the Manuel defence:

Why not Hed3?
-
• #3224
I have one already so I've put it in dry storage for now and I thought I would try this for a change.
It is brand new, Shimano made, clincher and at a reasonable price.
Are you going to give me bad news in terms of aerodynamics / catastrophic failure??

I doubt it's as fast as the HED, it weighs the same, and the HED has cartridge bearings making it more serviceable in the long term as an all-weather wheel. Nothing wrong with the PRO, but it would need to be a lot cheaper than that (presumably over £500 with shipping and import taxes) to make me take it over the HED.
I just got a purple CK too… Sotto Voce though, and in emaciated 1 1/8" size. Currently selling stuff left, right and centre to pay for it. Though I did get a (small) discount.
