Only took Ribble two weeks to deliver it...

^ took them 4 days to get me some parts after I paid for next day delivery at 9am on a monday. and only then after an email to customer services and a phone call on the wednesday to highlight they still hadn't bothered to pick the items even though they were all showing as in stock.
I'll use them again but will be lowering my expectations significantly in the future.

Same. They replied to my emails but completely ignored what I'd actually asked.

Ribble just took two weeks to deliver some bits to me as well. The bits were in stock the whole time, they just took that long to dispatch them.
They replied to me too, but obviously with a stock response after not reading my email, and I wasn't impressed. They reassured me that although they were having problems, 80% of their deliveries were still arriving with the 2-4 days they promise. As it was already a week and a half since ordering, this was no use to me.
I'll never use them again - there's no reason to as wiggle or CRC always deliver within a day or two and have much better customer service.

I had a delayed Ribble parcel, which took 4 days for them to pick, but once they had it arrived swiftly. The most ammusing bit was the letter from the director blaming it all on Brad Wiggins(!) and the "interest in cycling generated by his TDF win"

Yup.
Im pleased with everything apart from there was a bolt missing in the stems faceplate. Took it to the LBS to get everything torqued up correctly so I can go do laps of RP after work.
Total Kid at christmas syndrome!

How much did lbs charge for that? I will eventually need the same service when I finally manage to get hold of all my parts...

Been meaning to show these off. Recieved it all just before my hols.
Fat-ypus i-Rock skis 176cm bought direct from where they are handmade in Colorado (very lovely).
MFD Alltime touring plates.
Look Pivot 14 XXL bindings from Germany.
All arrived at the same time, so I got tinkering. If my Ti fatbike frame gets made in time it'll be a winter of fat tyres, and fat skis :D

Busy weekend ahead. I'll be doing up a Raleigh Twenty shopper for a friend and hopefully (if my LBS have finished building the wheels) I'll be building my Croix de Fer up too :)

Thought it was about time to add another proper tool to my collection. This time a 2-24Nm torque wrench.
It was a bit of a hassle to find one at a sensible price, with good reviews, a low enough range, and not for silly money. Finally found this one:
Torque Wrench Micrometer Style 3/8öSq Drive 2-24Nm/1.47-17.70lb.ft: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools
I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it looks well made. The little certificate is a nice touch.

Looks similar to one a friend has, which seemed to stop working after a few uses... That being said, I'm sure I read somewhere in the instructions* to torque something at a low value a few times to keep it lubricated or something?
*I may be imagining this.

They use a spring, which you should unwind after use to maintain accuracy.

This is a bit of an odd one. My old work place recently emailed to say a parcel had arrived for me from Japan. I had no recollection of ordering anything. Nor do any of my friends live there now. Furthermore, it's addressed to Allie not Alex. Really weird.
So anyway, I collected it from the post depot today and don't really know what to make of it or do with it - does anyone on here?

It sure is a tricksy one. I hope it hasn't been cursed to give me bad luck, or something.

Maybe HSBC sent you it.
When was the last time I asked a DIY question in AQA?
