  • I don't expect to have it full to capacity. When I do pack it, will pack heaviest (tools etc) near seatpost, tent in the middle and clothes at the extremity.

It's an Archie's saddle bag, no longer available, very lucky find courtesy of a forum member.

  • It act like a compressor - tighten it as much as you can to keep it nice and secure.

rusty, it's actually quite rideable, doesn't affect the bicycle as much as a rack/panniers of the same volume/weight.

I'd recommended a small handlebar bag, if you got a spare bum bag, then a quick fiddling would make it into a usable handlebar bag.

great to store your phone, money, pill, etc.

  • I'd like to pick ur brains on what/how you pack as essentials for this sort of trip when you do it Malaysian. the longest i've been out was for 2 days! needless to say i didnt really take anything with me, but would well fancy a longer trip like this. thats much bigger than i thought it wuld be btw!!

  • ...30 Minutes Later...

are you sure you're not missing any digits here? =))

  • No, that's right.

2 minutes to deanodize, and about 10 minutes to clean and polish.

The rest of the time was spent on disassembly and reassembly.

Could've finished sooner but I was drinking beer at the same time.

  • Woo! Just got my new machine!

  • ^Dench

  • Cheers! (Assuming its a compliment)
Its a rebranded Dolan, I believe its a Pallotola, it was sold to me as an Air, however I believe the air was the more recent version with horizontal dropouts and different stays. Regardless, its a pretty confident ride, the stiffness is something else!!!
Now I just need race wheels..!

  • My son turned 10 this week and besides the usual kid stuff he deserves some real cycling shoes for his RR and MTB. I started with Detto Pietros approx. 33 years ago, he got a pair of Specialized.

Drinking beer is an obligatory part of the deanodising/polishing process.

  • Surly Cross Check 60cm. £140 off eBay. Scuffed and de-stickered by previous owner for commuting but apparently never built up. Might need a new paint job...
