Did anyone see the video projection wrapping of South Bank Centre last week? Saw clips on Youtube after the event but didn't read/hear anything about it beforehand.
Me & Cynthia went to see it.... it was awesome. Daft Punk in 7:1 surround sound is genious!

Oh and we got free popcorn and water
Who the hell wants to drink water in a cinema?!
Thanks for the review. I am excited about the tightly-dressed ladies.

Oh dear, who produced that car crash of a title font?

an American, definitely an American

Just seen it in an almost empty Camden Odeon.
Makes absolutely no sense at all, but it sure is pretty.
Does Jeff Bridges turn into Obi Wan Kenobi at the end?
Why do you know that Ziggy Stardust bloke is going to be a wrong-un as soon as he speaks in an english accent?
Why don't more girls wear shiny catsuits in real life?but mostly
Screenplay co-written by Adam Horowitz?
wtf?

It's not that Adam Horowitz.
Catsuits.
Catsuits
Yes.

The logotype ('title font') is excellent, very 1980s, very GC, I think it's just about perfect, anyhow what do you know about design, you aren't even inglish.

Correctamundo!
Different spelling - "v" for the Beastie and "w" for the writer.

Maybe, if it had been written by the Beastie Boys, it would have made more sense.

Those catsuits were great. The 3D, not so good. It felt very inconstant, some scenes had OTT 3D effects, other had nothing.
Or was that just me?
-

There was a bit at the beginning which said that some scenes were in 2D on purpose, I thought maybe it was an excuse to save money on bits they had to re-shoot, or something.
I got the feeling that there are probably hours of plot left in some cutting room somewhere.
How did the arcade manage to sit locked up for 20 years without everything getting robbed? Even the neon sign on the outside still worked.

Don't try to impress me with your clever Greek words, I know all about LOGO.
I don't know much about design, I just feel it right here deep in my Internet that the TRON 2 font is wrong.

Here you go, this should keep you happy.

I got that sequel feeling. The arcade is the wonders of tv land.

I thought the 3d was very tasteful, and was used as an effect rather than a gimmick.
It makes sense to have it in 2D and then switch up to 3D when on the grid / special effects.
I'd put money on Cillian Murphy having a pretty major bad guy role in the impending sequel, Disney aren't know for their complex story lines. Single Parent family, tragedy, action, good people win, fin.

No, that's crap and you nicked the idea off somewhere.

The best bit of animation is the young looking Jeff Bridges.

I think the R is overly fussy... But I'm a cunt, so there you have it...

good to see these lot ^^ on the case.the film,
well it was quality bio-digital jazz man
cracked me up to see Bridges playing the stoner hero again,
the effectsy bits were pretty mesmerizing,
but when all said and done, you just cant beat a good old punch up to give movie audiences what they need now can you.postscript.
in the eighties I played that actual original stand up game in a casual clothes shop in the "Teanlowe" shopping centre (now burnt down) - Poulton le fylde, Lancs, I was shit at it,
but-- I could complete the Return of the Jedi 9 times and then become a Jedi Knight which is what I have been ever since.Use the force.

saw it at the imax last night, was pretty awesome but the story is predictably wack. some guy in the audience got a round of applause for turning up in a tron light jacket
-

Saw it at the Imax and it just felt like seeing it in 3D. Awesome effects but I agree story was a bit wack. Plus the main chick used to be in House which put me off a bit. The original white bike was amazing though.

Note to self, take Kleenex.
yeah - I could do without them right now. Right now life is approximately 90% work, christmas shopping, coffee and tax returns, 5% fun, and 5% sleep.. oh, and a pinch of whinge :)
