  • yeah, i think it's gonna have to be rubino's on the polo bike.

  • evahwear

  • gabes: TriComp's... though they do grip a bit too god for my liking.. at least when new.

  • broken: I have everwear on my cannondale, it's lasting well!

got a marathon on the way for the clown bike

  • Who stocks Soma Everwears in London? Wanna try one on my back wheel after hearing a few positive reviews, still not enjoying the Gatorskin on DeathBike... Too grippy for my liking... Please and thank you...

  • I got mine at BLB, 4 months ago, it's still going strong. but, they are not cheap, over 30 notes if I remember correctly.

I'd call them first, to check they still have them.

Keep going with the Gatorskin, took me a while to get used to it as like you say thought it was too grippy but now I've taken a mm or two off it, feels spot on, slides well now

  • had my armadillo for like 2 months now and its jus about wearing out but i think i can ride it for a month or more . . .

kinda last me and i ride everyday aswell

  • continental top conatct - have lasted me for about 2/3 months so far-still going-they look a bit ugly but if you get a puncture they will send you a new 1

  • had a pair of these 6 months, on my badweather ride........no probs, ok ride, no punctures.

  • The Gators are getting better but the judder while you're breaking them in really rattles my spine... And £30 is a lotta cash for one of those bloody Somas when I can get a set of Gators for £25! Hmmm...

  • But Moose, they're white!!! throws up

  • not that I do skiddy-skids. i'm sure I saw vittoria randonneurs mentioned as good for this.

  • IMO - skidding is a waste of money. On the GT i hardy skid at all... most of its done on the polo bike... which TBF used to have dogsballs secondhand tyre on it and now has a tyre out of the bin on it at the moment which happens to be an armadillo all condition.

  • agreed, i rarely skid on the cannondale, but the polo bike, I skid loads, started doing some 180 skids to get to the ball yesterday, and it is wicked, I love it, considering I kill tyres, the marathons are the only choice for me, they last ages.

  • my link fail sorry gyz. thanks joe... they are ok but they last long.. if you dont skidem them out too much but they do stop you ...in wet and dry.... thick 28mm.. and black ones are fairly cheap.. dunnno oubout white tho...bet someone will getum soon..white ones..

  • Biggest I can go is 25, don't got enough clearance for 28... Cheers for the tip tho', I'll look out for some...

  • I dunno how you afford it. Tyres last me over a year.

  • ...and I get them for free. In the past 5 years I've paid for just 1 pair.

  • Keep going with the Gatorskin, took me a while to get used to it as like you say thought it was too grippy but now I've taken a mm or two off it, feels spot on, slides well now

I agree, mine gripped like they were coated in superglue for ages, but now they're worn in they're perfect and look like they'll last for a long time to come!

  • scwalbe stelvio, very long lasting 2 months so far, although ive got 36 skid spots so that might be why

  • specialized mondo is working well for me so far, grippy at first but lovely now

All the HHS's in NYC use em :-)
