I had two of my old ones covered up by Matt Black. They were easier to cover as I was getting blackwork and the original pieces were small outlines. 2/10 for coverup difficulty.
Are you looking at a certain style for the new one(s)? That may dictate what's possible in terms of coverup.
I was thinking traditional/old school looking waves or smoke but Matt Black type work is also a consideration as I think he'd be able to work well with what needs going over.

Matt's great and he was very thorough in setting expectations as to what would work and what would not. Worth having a chat.

Matt is a lovely bloke. Incidentally, one thing pretty much all the Divine Canvas crew have in common is that, over time, their original piecework has been covered over with blue washes of varying translucence/opacity, so that the original tattoo isn't completely hidden but the look changes. Would that be worth considering, Sorethroat, or do you really need complete cover-up?

Asking for a friend. Is there anyone in London or South East England that does watercolour style tattooing? As I can only think of one in Prague. Which isn't local. Ha.
Thanks in advance. -

A question.
What UK based artists are most sought after and have the longest waiting lists?
-
• #9018
The two are not mutually exclusive.
Some artists only operate on a 6 month booking schedule, where others can book for 2 years.
Yet some can be met with immedately.
It all depends -
• #9019
Yeah it sort of depends. Some artists like Xam, Claudia DeSabe, Valerie Vargas etc have crazy long waiting lists but also make time for one hit pieces on a monthly basis.

Why do you care? Is this for some kind of article or is it that you would prefer to be tattooed by an artist who is "fashionable"?
