  • Want!

  • I've got a Roy Lichtenstein tat that I keep forgetting about. He actually did it. Not really.

  • is there any left G?

  • but you are a geek!

and so are you my quaussie-greek friend.

i might pop in somewhere on my way to Bodean's- depends how long chores take at home.

  • Henry - check this guy out, sometimes he works from family biz but is based in Paris.
Might have the stlye you require?

  • Riva, think twice before you get an after-med-school tattoo of snake and rods etc
It's considered really lame , every other student who finishes med school gets it and then realizes there are 500 000 000 other people with exactly the same tat

  • the way i figure it- most tattoos are shared by many people, just in different forms- with the specific spins of different artists.
so many aren't particularly unique- its a question of making them your own
However, the likely hood of having the palestinian flag inherent in that image, with the snake forming the shape of the keffiye, is very small and it will say enough about me to be my tattoo.

    hence the bunny-duck.
i doubt many people have that.

The DNA helix- with my initials once translated into the amino acids- many people have this.
Its a memory of a time I hated, but stuck through and now look back fondly

also it should be pointed out that i'm really, really picky. so if i'm unhappy with a certain design- i tend to redraw it over and over.

  • Anyone familiar with Yann Black's stuff?

    It's pretty crazy.

saw a link to him the other day off Objects facebook, some of hsi stuff is incredible. I wonder how much input you have as the 'meat'?

  • Yeah, there's an obsession with originality when it comes to tattoos. They're fundamentally about conforming, tribal marking. This isn't a bad thing.

  • But sol's point i think was not that other people will have the design, but that 1/2 of medical graduates will, which is a bit different

  • Waz teh difference?

  • that sweeping generalization about med students is untrue too.
I know alot of med grads and not one of them has a tattoo.

but who cares- by the time I finish- 5 fucking years away- my design will ahve gone through a similar number of changes as it has now and will bear no resemblence to how i think of it now.
the more i see of http://www.boucherie-traditionnelle.com/
as highlighted by Pique the more I want that guy to do my DNA tattoo.

    edit- just emailed.

  • Looks exactly like the one you drew, dude.

    Who did it?

    Nice.

  • gino @ diamond jack's. really approachable, down to earth guy.
3rd or 4th place i visited today, wasn't happy at being talked down to, and he was well happy to help out.
It'll look neater when i pull the cellophane off- obv, but the transfer was dead on perfect...
left leg, basically to bottom of boxers.

I was a bit dubious- but it was a walk in day and they were really nice and knowledgeable.
gf is NOT happy in the slightest.....oops....

also i was bricking it before the beginning. its like a weird massage, i suddenly felt very calm under the needle.

  • so sick dude!

  • nice one, henry!

shame about the lady, i'm sure she'll come round....jim keeps asking me when i'm getting full sleeves done...hahaha.

  • tell him to finish his first
